I did some research on this company and liked that they had several EWG-certified products, so I decided to give this sunscreen a chance. I went back to EWG and found that this product has yet to be reviewed, but they do have information on Babos "Sheer Facial Sunscreen SPF 40," which states that it is unlikely to pass FDA testing and has a poor UVA/UVB balance. I'm guessing the same holds true for this item.
I liked how light it felt on my skin, but the smell was revolting. We were stuck with it because I forgot to test it before flying out and I didn't want to go out and buy a new one. My family did not get sunburned, despite the fact that we were outside for half of the day, which is a good thing. But the odor was too much for me to bear. It was also difficult to wash off in the shower after a long day. The odor lingered for a while.
We took a vacation to Florida and spent a lot of time on the beach in the sun. This stuff worked like a charm! We only had to apply it once and it lasted the entire day, even when we were in the water, sand, and other elements. It was extremely waterproof and provided excellent sun protection. We were not burned in the least. It's also not as thick as some zinc-based sunscreens. It is very easy to spread on the skin. You can also rub it in completely without leaving a white cast, and it will work flawlessly. It works even if you don't look white. It gave my skin a healthy glow and kept it moisturized. However, it is a small bottle, and mine arrived with a large slice in it and sunscreen all over it. I didn't have time to order another one before we left on our trip, so I just taped it shut over the cut and it worked fine; however, perhaps better packaging would be beneficial! 100% reordering and so pleased to have finally found a good, safe and effective sunscreen for the whole family!.
I wear sunscreen every time I go outside and have experimented with a variety of products. The mineral ones can be irritatingly thick, but Babo isn't, so I've finally found the perfect solution that provides both SPF and minerals. It is reasonably priced, and I intend to purchase it again.
It worked perfectly for my husband, me, and my two-year-old. It was a particularly warm weekend, and I needed something to keep the whole family entertained. This worked perfectly. My son has extremely sensitive skin, and this sunscreen did not cause him any irritation.
In Fiji, I didn't make it out of the sun. Even with an hourly application, we were all severely burned. It's as if it never worked at all.
There is no white residue because it is non-greasy. It was purchased for the purpose of putting on a show. This is the sun screen I've been looking for if it's truly non-nano and protects against UV rays.
