I can usually find them; it's just that they come in boxes sometimes and plastic tubs other times.
I'm not a nutritionist, but I've found that they contain less fat and calories than cake or cookies. They take care of my sweet tooth. Consult a registered dietitian if you require additional information.
No, we've received shipments in 91-degree weather so far, and the biscuits appear to be in good condition. Place a single or multiple biscuits in the freezer for 5 minutes if desired, then enjoy!
Selected User Reviews For Nonni's Biscotti Value Pack, Cioccolati Dark Chocolate Almond, 25 Count
Everyone is wondering how you could sell half the product in the same size bucket with the same size wrappers. I make my own biscotti, so I know that simple dough isn't that difficult to make or expensive, but I justified the over-production. The convenience of the high-priced treat was well worth it. No more! I'm a zealot who despises the Nonni brand and refuses to recommend the product again; those who order again will find one-of-a-kind items. fourth, due to dwindling sales, the original product.
As a result, we, as consumers, receive less value for our money. br>br>I made the mistake of not reading the detailed description and reviews before purchasing. If you've been a fan of nonni biscotti for a long time, you'll be disappointed to receive a small cookie with your coffee. I guess I'll have to start making my own again.
The only criticism I have of this product is the price, which is far too high and fluctuates each time I place an order. I'm not deducting "star points" because of the price; however, if it becomes too expensive, I'll stop ordering. These biscotti are delicious in terms of flavor. Of course, nothing beats homemade, but I think they're pretty good for a commercial bakery. The chocolate is to die for, and the cookie is to die for (I mean delectable). These are absolutely delicious. Also, the fact that they come in individual packages is very convenient for me because I can easily throw one in my purse or backpack. However, I have a personal reason for doing so. Because they come in individual packages, I'm not tempted to eat too many of these delicious treats. I'm completely satisfied after just one bite. Knowing that one of these babies is waiting for me, I eat more healthily during the day! Whether it's on Amazon or in the store, I order these almost every month. This is a brand that I strongly recommend.
Each unit will receive two fewer dunks. br>br>However, I placed another order because I wanted Nonni's Biscotti in their original form. They have a flavor that is described as "umami": sweet and almond-flavored y, but the predominant flavor that strikes me is "eggy," which I enjoy in sweet baked goods. br>br>However, I've had a rude awakening this time. I am about 75% through the box, and I found three separate biscotti that were simply encrusted in salt. your- mouth- into- Get ready to pucker. water- salty from the start They're bad enough to ruin your coffee if you dunk before biting, as I do, and there's nothing about the packaging or even appearance (maybe they have a little white crust of salt) of the biscotti to warn me, and I can't find anything about the packaging or even appearance (maybe they have a little white crust of salt) of the biscotti to warn me. br>br>I've heard of "salty caramel" biscotti before, but this isn't one of them. These were mistakes made during the manufacturing process. The pinch of salt that was most likely supposed to go into the large batches of these biscotti ended up on the finished or baking biscotti. It's a tongue-splitting experience. I'm not buying any more of these.
I only ate two biscitti from this order, both of which were stale, since I received it yesterday. Unfortunately, I can tell that almost all of the others are as well. The chocolate on the top and bottom is a strange whitish color and flaking, giving it the appearance of fish scales or something. I've bought this brand of biscotti from my local grocery store several times, and I know it's not supposed to look or taste like this!.
Because of two factors, I'm only giving these "Italian Cookies" one star. 1) The cookie has no or only a few almonds in it. 2) They are NOT biscotti; if you want a genuine biscotti rather than an "Italian Cookie," go to Costco and buy Kirkland biscotti. You'll be blown away by the flavor and the generous amount of almonds. br>If you want a cookie with your coffee, go ahead and do so. However. If you're looking for biscotti and aren't sure what the difference is, go to Costco.
I've been enjoying a Nonni's Dark Chocolate Almond biscotti with my morning coffee for several years, so I was thrilled to find the "Value Pack" at such a low price! I was surprised to remove the first biscotti and find it to be significantly smaller than the others. The biscotti are a miniature version of the previous product, with a few almond crumbs on the top edge but no discernible chunks of almonds in the biscotti; second, there are a few almond crumbs on the top edge but no discernible chunks of almonds in the biscotti. Finally, a number of them were broken, and some of them were clearly broken before being placed in individual wrappers. I've never done anything like this in my 70-year life. I'll miss my daily ritual of dunking a Nonni's biscotti in my morning coffee, but I'm not willing to pay more for significantly less.
However, even the smaller sizes arrive just as broken as the larger sizes, resulting in small crumbs rather than the traditional dipping cookies. The photography is deceiving because it shows the longer cookies in the container next to the shorter cookies while still filling the container to the brim evenly. This isn't the case at all. The shorter ones aren't even close to reaching the container's top. It would be more honest to state the cookie's length rather than its weight so that the customer knows what to expect.
