These cookies are highly addictive, and I adore them. I pretty much only eat airplanes when I'm on the road. They go with everything, including tea, coffee, beer, ice cream, BBQ, white or brown rice, tacos, and martinis, to name a few. Yum. Yum . I bury them like a dog burys a bone. Because they were stale, THESE only received two stars. I'm a Biscoff connoisseur, and these were definitely stale. Of course, just to be sure, I had to eat a lot of them. I am, however, certain.
First and foremost, I ordered these on Friday night and received them on Sunday morning, which is extremely fast considering I live in a remote, rural area. The price is great, and it's a little less than my local supermarket, which doesn't seem to have them anymore. I first had these on a flight years ago and then forgot about them on subsequent flights. I bought them during the holidays in December at a local store. I'm addicted to it. They're delicious on their own, but pair them with a cup of hot coffee or tea and you'll be hooked. They have a caramelized sugar and cinnamon flavor to them, but aren't overly sweet. I'll keep buying from this Amazon seller.
However, there are a few broken cookies in the bag. I appreciate the convenience of being able to purchase a large quantity of these cookies in a single package. However, when the packages arrived, about a quarter of them were broken. The crumbled cookies were still tasty, and I could top them with ice cream or yogurt to keep them from going to waste. But I'm thinking I should just go ahead and buy them from my neighborhood supermarket. But, even with the crumbled cookies, the price is reasonable. And it had a six-month expiration date.
Item arrived and is due to expire in one month. I'm not sure how I'm going to eat four packs of cookies in that time. I'm guessing these have been around for at least a year, so they're probably quite old.
One of the most frustrating things is having your mouth set on a delicious treat only to be disappointed. THEY WERE ACTUALLY STALE! I'm guessing AMAZON has a lot of product in their warehouse, which is why these had no flavor. I had hoped to return them, but Amazon's return policy prevented me from doing so. These should be purchased from a grocery store, in my opinion.
I don't usually write reviews, but this product is deserving of one. To begin with, the same product costs four times as much in grocery stores. br>I used to buy them in grocery stores before discovering them on Amazon. br>These cookies were fresh and affordable. Tastes great with coffee or teabr>I've been a loyal Amazon customer for over 11 yearsbr>I also invest in Amazon because I believe in the company and Jeff Bezos' genius. br>Thank you, Amazon, for everything you do.
I ordered a $23 box that was supposed to contain ten items. Packages were supposed to be 8 oz, but what I got was 4 oz. In a single box, there are 8 oz. packages. As a result, I'm short by six points. Packages of 8 oz. That was bad enough, but when I opened the two packages, more than half of the cookies were crushed. I'm not sure what else to say except that as delicious as these cookies are, receiving less than half of what I ordered stinks, and having what I did get crushed to tiny crumbs is even worse!.
If my memory serves me correctly, I first tried these on a United Airlines flight to or from California. They aren't overly sweet or sugary (only a smidgeon of sweetness). They go well with a drink and would likely be best with a warm drink like tea or coffee. I liked the taste and I am not a snack/dessert person. I don't drink coffee, and even though it's summer, I'm sure I'll enjoy these with a cup of tea when the weather cools down. br>br>These have a fairly long shelf life as well, with mine expiring about 6 months after purchase. br>br>They aren't as light as a cracker, but they aren't as sweet as candy. They're a little heavy and filling, but with a serving size of four cookies, I think that's about right.
