It's so annoying how inconsistent the quality is. We have ordered the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip bars for the past 4 months, but this is the 3rd box out of 4 in which they have been extremely dry. When you bite into them, they are rock hard and crumble upon biting, which is not the normal way a bar of this type should be.
If they don't change this, I encourage you to BOYCOTT. The following is a warning to consumers! It is my regret to inform you that I will not be purchasing Larabar products in the future. The number of large pit pieces is too high These are NOT labeled as containing pits, or a warning that they could contain them. Quite a few reviews I read today relate to the same issue, and some go back years - I can't believe how many complaints there are. Broken teeth! So many people suffer! That kind of behavior is really irresponsible, as well as shameful.
Almost everything around the bar was covered with spider webs last night when I opened one of these up! So I threw the spider on the ground right away, thinking it must still be in there (happy or sad). This was one I was glad I did not bite into. I am pretty sure my views on Larabar have changed.
These are great! I've had them at Kroger. This was a dry and hard fruit. I don't understand why the cards are not valid, since they are not expired. Could they possibly have been Although I am unsure about the quality, I know it is very poor in comparison with what I purchased I will not order from here.
The use of only four ingredients was a great idea. This would be a good choice for me since I like dates. There was a burnt coffee taste to it Our customers got ahold of them after I shared them with them. Reviewers had mixed feelings about the film. Some people said they were a little different but they were not the best either. Many said they would not eat another one because they were not the bad thing they ever ate. It may be a matter of acquired taste and acquired.
It's been a couple of years now that I've been ordering them on Amazon using the subscribe and save option. In order to cancel my subscription, I am doing so now. There have been at least 3 boxes of these bars this year that are crumbly and dry. It is not a good idea to dry out the bars. There was always no problem with the expiration dates. It was the bars that were problematic. I have no idea what the problem is with these bars, but it's very annoying given the fact that I have to throw away a brand new box of bars when I try one out.
It took me a few days to get my box. Despite my paranoia and disliking the way the package looked, I still bought it. The package was opened on each side and had a piece of tape to reassemble it. The box is very old and beaten. The item will not be repurchased.
This has been the case up until recently. Review comments for the original 5 stars I love the taste of this. Is there any need for peanut butter cups anymore? This is not my cup of tea! I have updated the post with the following information I am ineligible for this delivery with my current subscription. Before, the packaging appeared to be made of mylar, which used to reflect light. Despite the packaging change, it seems like these are not drying out quickly. This could be due to a problem at the production facility. The reasons might be a hundred-fold, but I will not be purchasing any more Larabars for the immediate future.
