PERFECTLY CRISP AND FRESH One of the greens in my most recent "fresh" order was red leaf lettuce
5/5

The others weren't quite as fresh as they'd been in previous deliveries, but the red leaf stood out. It was a large, crisp, fresh, and delicious head of cauliflower! For years, my go-to salad consisted of red leaf lettuce, spinach, red/purple cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, and green or red onion- Collard greens have recently been added to the mix. kale. I'll throw in some broccoli and cauliflower if I have any on hand. In the refrigerator, I like to keep a large bowl of salad ready to serve. br>Here are a few pointers. br>If you start with the basics and layer them on top of each other, you'll be fine. red cabbage, shredded carrots, and greens- It's not necessary to toss the salad to mix it. I usually do a layer of each and then repeat until I've used up everything I've cleaned, cut, or torn up. Then, when you take a serving, you get a little bit of everything, even as the salad in the bowl is being consumed. br>I place the sliced mushrooms on top of the salad, completely covering it, and top with chopped green onion. br>If there are no green onions or I'm using red onion instead, I usually don't put them in the bowl and instead add them to each serving. br>One of the reasons for this is that I also feed salad to my two small dogs, who are allergic to onions. With green onion sprinkled on top, it's simple to keep it out of theirs. br>Hold tomatoes and other "add-ons" in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Because they have an acidic effect on the greens, they are not included in the bowl. br> I've also discovered that if I use a GLASS bowl and seal it on top with stretch plastic wrap that adheres to the bowl, I can make a large bowl and keep it fresh and nice for almost a week. I'm not sure why, but it keeps better in the glass bowl than in a tupperware or plastic container. I believe it's because the glass bowl cools down as well, keeping the vegetables even cooler.

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, E WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY HYDROPONICS? THE RESULTS WERE OUTSTANDING
5/5

THE LEAVES WERE THICK, CLEAN, CRISP, AND FRESH. HYDROPONICS COME TO MIND. THESE MAY BE SOLD ON AMAZON AGAIN. br>I WAS HESITANT AT FIRST, BUT THE REPLACEMENT WAS DISAPPOINTING, WITH DIRTY, WILTED, AND THIN LEAVES. THEY WERE INVESTIGATED WITH INSECTS OR HAD EXTREMELY HIGH MUD CONCENTRATIONS. I THREW AROUND 80% OF THE OUTER LEAVES OR ASK FOR A REFUND.

3/5

Delivered lettuce that would have been better suited to the dumpster. Brown and wilted, and well past the 'Fresh' stage. 'br>br>Edited 3/1/2020 to add: Amazon promptly refunded my lettuce purchase price, which I appreciate. So I gave it another shot this time with an order. I'm pleased to report that I have received a large crisp/tender green/red head. 'Fresh' is a good word to describe it.

Slimy, rotten, and dripping with brown liquid- What are you talking about? I got a slimy, wilted head of lettuce that was covered in brown liquid- I'm surprised that anyone would send something in such a bad state
3/5

It was also crawling with green bugs that, despite the filth, seemed to be alive.

Tasty
5/5

This is one of my favorite salad ingredients, and it's also great for the guinea pigs. It lasts for about a week, which is just long enough for the guinea pigs to eat before it's time to order more.

fresh, healthy, and free of any blemishes I was surprised to see so few broken leaves in red leaf lettuce, which can be quite delicate
5/5

When you can't leave the house, it's fantastic to be able to get organic produce in a pinch.

Small heads, sparse, limp, wilty leaves with rust on them, and only a few leaves per head
3/5

It was SPECTACULAR the first two times I purchased it - firm and fresh, with large leaves and a large head - $2 is well spent. I looked forward to ordering these on a weekly basis because they were so ridiculously good. br>br>The following orders were not acceptable: Small heads, sparse, limp, wilty, some leaves with rust, few leaves in neither order (two heads per order as usual) lasted three days - DISAPPOINTING IN THE MAXIMUM EXTENT.

Trash
3/5

First and foremost, it was filthy, and I had to scrub it for several minutes. It was so bitter that it lingered in my mouth for more than 10 minutes after I finished eating it. It also appeared to be quite old. It had a little brown water on it, for sure. I'm not sure why I assumed that washing spoiled lettuce would make it edible again. It was not the case. The quality of this shite was abysmal.
