I prefer Campbell's healthy request varieties to the regular canned soups (or really anything from a can), which I find to be far too salty. I've become accustomed to less salty foods since reducing my salt intake for health reasons. So many things have an absurdly salty flavor to them. It's gotten to the point where I can't eat it anymore. This Healthy Clam Chowder tastes just like the regular version. It's flavorful and creamy in equal measure to the original. However, the sodium content is significantly lower. There's also a good chance there'll be less fat and cholesterol. However, the product's quality is not compromised. It's every bit as tasty and flavorful as the original, in my opinion. To be honest, I prefer it. However, if you haven't yet weaned yourself off of the salt, you may believe something is missing. Campbell's New England Clam Chowder is one of my favorites. This is the one I'd pick first!.
Although I am not a fan of canned foods, I purchased this because Panera had stopped carrying New England Clam Chowder. Souplantation, on the other hand, was forced to close its doors. As a stand-in, I had to settle for this. It's not watery like some other brands, but it's thick and hearty with a lot of stuff inside. Because this version is lower in sodium, it may be less savory, but that's a trade-off. In order to be healthy, I'm willing to take some time off. I purchased sourdough bread to dip and eat with, and it is delicious! I don't have to go to Frisco's Fisherman's Warf, Disneyland, or any other fancy location. You can also buy extra cans to use for short-term food storage in the event of an emergency.
There wasn't a single clam to be found, and the flavor was extremely bland.
I had no choice but to discard them all. According to the company, I will not be reimbursed. This is a disaster in my opinion.
I'm not pleased with myself. I was expecting to hear more about Campbell. Simply put, the taste isn't very good. It is, however, very filling!.
This is revolting.
It's a good chowder, but the lower salt content does make a difference in the flavor.
