When we were younger and sick, our entire family would eat this simple soup. I hadn't seen it in a long time and had been surviving on Ramen whenever a cold bug struck, yuck! I discovered the original Cup'O'Soup on Amazon about a year ago and have been stocking up on it ever since. This soup is extremely tasty, incredibly simple to prepare (which is critical when you're sick), and surprisingly filling for such a small amount of soup. Each box contains four soup mix packets (to be mixed with 3/4 cup water). I strongly advise you to buy this book.
This is a comfort food for me because it reminds me of my childhood. When you're looking for a quick, light, and warm meal, this soup is perfect. All you have to do now is add hot water and stir. When I'm trying to thaw out from our office's frigid temperatures, I eat a lot of this soup at work. As the powder dissolves, it thickens slightly, giving it that comforting creamy texture. I also use it a lot in the kitchen. Any chicken dish, such as braised chicken thighs in a creamy sauce, chicken and dumplings, chicken pot pie, or chicken a la king, will benefit from it. If you use a packet of this soup instead of salt, it will give any sauce a richer flavor and a silkier texture.
I recently traveled to Scotland and became enamored with the variety of cup-a-soups available. The cream ones were a particular favorite of my husband and me. I'm not sure why they're not sold in stores here, so I went online and found these. This one is excellent, though not quite on par with Bachelors in the United Kingdom. Still, when you need a quick and easy soup fix in the United States, it's good for the price, thickness, and flavor. I packed these in my lunch bag so that all I have to do is add boiling water from the office machine to satisfy my mid-afternoon hunger.
I really like this soup, but I was disappointed that I only received half cream of chicken and half chicken noodle soup. Six packets of cream of chicken were described as the item. If it had only been cream of chicken, I would have given 5 stars.
The powder was leaking from the tightly sealed containers. I find it difficult to believe that whoever packed this item did not notice the soup powder strewn about. To see if it applied to all of the, I had to open all six boxes.
On-time delivery a good package This item is not available in any of the stores in my area for some reason. "I just want something" other than cookies a lot of the time in the evening. coffee. I used to send one of these or the noodle soup to my husband's office for lunch. He was able to use hot water because he lived in a warm environment. I snacked on it. She'd always make this soup for me, and it'd make my throat and sinuses feel so much better! We have no idea why the soup disappeared from all of the stores in our area four or five years ago. I had the brilliant idea to order this soup from Amazon one day, and it turned out to be the best decision I'd ever made! I've ordered this soup twice now, and both times it arrived within two days of my initial order. We usually get about a month or month and a half out of 6 boxes. With the onset of the colder season, I believe we will use it up much more quickly. When our current supply runs out, I'll definitely purchase more.
