I'm at a loss. This is something the manufacturer would have to respond to. Are you purchasing through Amazon Prime or a third-party vendor? Never make a purchase from a third-party vendor. They always demand a much higher price.
When I make beef pot roast, I use half a can of water and then let the meat juices mix into the gravy. I use a full can of water if I use two cans of beefy mushrooms.
The dates on the can are for "BEST BY" purposes only, not for expiration. I keep canned goods in my pantry for up to 6 months after the "BEST BY" date has passed.
There are only a few spots left.

I first used it in 1972 to make a shrimp cream cheese dip. As a new bride, I came across a recipe for "shrimp stuff," as our family dubbed it. " I made it for company and received a lot of positive feedback. I couldn't find it in stores (despite my best efforts), so I ordered it from Amazon (thank goodness). The following is the recipe: One 8 oz. a brick of softened cream cheese at room temperature Warm the soft cream cheese in a sauce pan until it is warm but not hot (don't burn it). Add one can of Campbell's cream of shrimp soup when the cream cheese is soft and easy to combine (no lumps). Then stir in one cup sour cream, a teaspoon of horseradish, and a tablespoon of Worchestershire sauce. Although the recipe calls for bay shrimp (those tiny precooked ones), the Cream of Shrimp Soup has so much shrimp flavor that I can skip the fresh shrimp. I cut up a fresh loaf of french bread or a baquette, pour a small amount of "shrimp stuff" into a side bowl, place the bowl on a large dinner plate, and surround it with crispy, aromatic pieces of french bread. Yummy as hell. The mixture could also be chilled and used as a cracker spread. Cocktail sauce could be used to add another layer of flavor to the dish. This dish has been a family favorite for nearly fifty years, and I am OVERJOYED that Amazon is now stocking this hard-to-find soup. Thanks!.
On the outside, the packaging looked good, but six of the cans were dented. All of the cans in the middle were dented, giving the impression that they were deliberately placed there to be discarded. DO NOT STORE FOR LONG PERIOD OF TIME WITHOUT INSPECTING EACH CAN. I believe someone has stolen the dented cans and is dumping them on us.
This is a fantastic product for making beef and gravy with. I'd give it five stars based on the flavor. I only opened the case this past weekend after ordering it to make beef and gravy, and I was disappointed with the state of the cans. I gave it two stars because of the cans' condition. I'm not sure I'll order the case of 12 again because seven of the twelve cans were severely dented, two others were slightly dented, and only three were undamaged. Because seven of the cans were severely dented, I'll be discarding them due to botulism concerns. This case wasn't cheap, and to make matters worse, I'll be discarding the seven cans that are severely dented. When I made beef and gravy this past weekend, I used the two slightly dented cans.
It tastes fantastic!.
This soup is no longer available in any of the stores in my neighborhood. Amazon, thank you very much! This Cream of Shrimp Soup is a key component of an appetizer I've been serving for years. The appetizer can also be served as a main course, and everyone enjoys it! I remember when this soup was only available frozen and had a slightly different flavor, so I'm hoping Campbell's doesn't stop making it. There's no doubt about it: this is the winner!.
I use it in the following ways: br>br>2 cans Campbell's shrimp soup, 2 measured cans half-and-half (heavy cream would work just as well). 1 pound of Trader Joe's mixed frozen seafood (or other suitable seafood) br>br>First, cook the celery, potatoes, and onions in a pound or so of water. Added garlic powder, dried dill, dried parsley, and white pepperbr>br>It only takes a few minutes to prepare and is absolutely delicious. br>br> br>br>I've never eaten this soup by itself. It's much better as a base for making a fantastic seafood soup with whatever ingredients one has on hand; if I'd had lobster, clams, or crabmeat on hand, I would have added them.
As I'm trying to stick to a keto diet, I've missed having this type of addition to my meals. I also have to keep a close eye on things because I have diabetes. These caught my eye and I decided to give them a try. In terms of flavor, it's excellent. I am completely happy. What about the ketogenic diet and diabetes? I haven't gotten around to seeing if these are truly low carb, or if that has anything to do with blood sugar spikes or staying in ketosis. Some things simply do not work for them, no matter what they say. br>br>I may revise this review once I've had a chance to test it.
It's also difficult to duplicate because it's the best shrimp soup I've ever had. It's even better with a couple of extra shrimp. It's difficult to beat as a seasoning. Warm, creamy soup is one of my favorite foods. I used to be able to purchase it at my local supermarket or Walmart, but they no longer carry it. It's possible that this is a contributing factor to the supply chain woes.
