They have a long shelf life, but nothing is indestructible. I really like this stuff, but I bought some and kept it for over a year. Even though it had expired in 2019, I decided to use it as income dressing. A huge blunder! It didn't smell bad, but it lacked flavor, was darker, and had a bitter aftertaste. Taste it, but don't let it go bad because it's excellent, rare, and costly.

This is a go-to recipe in my house! It's great in chicken soup, gravy, and anything else that calls for chicken broth, though I also use Swanson chicken broth. The low salt content is also a plus.
This is where I found it - For some reason, a few years ago, it mysteriously vanished from grocery stores. Except for today's problem of finding drums, it solves my chicken soup dilemma. Unless you go to a reputable butcher shop, it's nearly impossible to find thighs that aren't inedible old junk "stewing chicken" of goat meat quality. Broiler and fryer chicken are no longer available in supermarkets. Only the parts of tough old retired layers are used. Ugh.
Instead, there are only two of them - 4 packs. In that case, the price is absurd because I could have bought it for half the price at my local grocery store. It was entirely my fault. To make matters worse, it is not returnable. The end result, however, is excellent.

I tried to return it but was unable to do so, and now I am stuck with a product that will expire before I am able to use it all. This order did not meet my expectations, and I believe it did not reflect what was being sold. The seller has yet to respond to my question, and the quantity received is incorrect; I received 10 packs, not the 12 advertised in the misleading advertisement.
