The olives I received had a minimum of 5 months left on their shelf life. By the 5th of February, 2018, the code date was the best.
Lemons are a type of citrus fruit.
The Veggicopia Olives were superior to the Manzanilla Olives from Trader Joe's. They had a flavor that was tasty but not overly salty. I found Trader Joe's to be a little too salty for my liking.
I did, in fact, recycle mine.

I've ordered these olives several times because I enjoy them so much. But I just received an order, and they're out of date! It is the 26th of February, 2019. 6 days ago, this offer was no longer available. It has a terrible flavor. There isn't any way to get your money back. This is incredibly distressing.
I've been purchasing these for quite some time, and they are absolutely fantastic. It has a light flavor and a semi-firm texture. They make for an excellent snack. However, this package contains approximately 50% of the worst of the worst of the worst The smell is terrible, and there are white speckles all over them, mostly inside, and they're due to expire in January 2021, which is more than 6 months away. I'd like to hear back from the manufacturer and request that a new batch be sent. If this is fixed, I will update the review. I'm not going to keep the spoiled bags and return them.
I usually place two orders at a time, but lately at least one of the two packages of olives that I receive has been disappointing. They are either extremely vinegary or have an off flavor that does not resemble olives. I've tried everything I can think of to get in touch with the seller, but I'm stumped. Be aware that this is a fantastic product if you can get fresh olives; otherwise, they will taste strange.
In each of my packs, there were nine small/medium olives. They're plain green olives that haven't been stuffed with anything. They aren't mushy or bitter in the way that some olives can be. They're small enough to fit in my purse and are moist, with only a few drops of extra juice, so they're not messy. It's a plus that the package is simple to open. Ketogenic diets will benefit greatly from this product.
Olives are budgeted as a separate line item. Having said that, you should trust me when I say these are fantastic! They have just the right amount of brine and salt that you'd expect from a green olive, and they don't let you down. They're delicious on their own or in salads.
I eat a variety of olives on a regular basis, and I recently bought a single-serving packet of another brand of olives. Few people nowadays want to share utensils or eat from the same bowl, so I make them available to visitors. These are the saltiest olives I've ever had, to the point where I can't tell they're there. I enjoy salt, but I can only eat it after rinsing it and soaking it in cold water for a few days. Even then, I prefer to chop them and toss them in salads so that the flavor isn't as strong as if I ate them whole, but that defeats the purpose of paying so much for individual packages.
I experimented with these as a low-cost option. To keep me away from the carb/sugar/calorie-laden foods, I keep a carb snack in my daily carry bag or backpack. When at work or out and about, rich snacks predominate in vending machines and other snack sources. They're perfect for the job. The individual packages are well-made and foil-protected. - They're well-lined and can withstand being jostled around with other items. I've never had a packet puncture or leak (the inside is slightly wet, as you'd expect for olives), and they're simple to open with the factory-sealed seal. Each packet has a notch cut into it. A quality item - low-calorie and tasty carbohydrate-rich and extremely practical. My "go-to" snack when I'm out and about. I'd like to see them be a little less expensive, but at the very least, they're less expensive per packet than most vending machine snacks.
I bought these to see if they were similar to the olive packs sold at Trader Joe's, but they aren't. I tried them twice, throwing away half of the first package because I thought it was a bad batch. I tried a second package today and they tasted rancid, so I put them down and checked the expiration date; they haven't expired yet, but they will on May 30th. I got my package on the 19th of May, so these will be gone in 11 days. What a waste; not only do they taste bad, but I also expect shelf-stable products I buy to last longer than a few days after I receive them. It sort of defeats the purpose of stocking your pantry in bulk.
