Questions & Answers

Can anyone make a comparison between these and the Sanniti brand (which I adore but is quite pricey)?

I haven't tried the Sanniti brand, but Castlvetrano Olives are difficult to find. Roland does not let you down. I've been eating them for a long time. They are tender and buttery in flavor, with just the right amount of "crisp." It's also difficult to compare tastes because everyone's preferences differ slightly. Best wishes to you.

On the can, where is the expiration date?

December 7th and 9th were the dates. For 4 people, it is possible to be harmed.

Are there any pits in these?

They do have pits, to be sure. They are, however, delicious olives!

What is the salt content % per serving size and what is tbe serving size ie is the serving size ie is the serving size ie is the serving size ie is the serv , a pound of olives, and so forth?

Hello, a serving size of 3 olives (15 g) is available. Per serving, there are 40 calories and 135 milligrams of sodium. They're nice, big olives of excellent quality. I'm about to place a new order! I took a picture of the nutrition label, but I can't seem to get it to upload. Sorry!

I want to put these in a tub and eat them by opening and closing my mouth until they're all gone
5/5

These buttery, crisp, perfectly salted olives are to die for. My ultimate fantasy is to fill an entire bathtub with them and lock myself inside for a week. I'd gain hundreds of pounds if I only ate their sweet olive flesh all day and night. (In a can, there are approximately 8000 calories. ) If I'm not careful, one can last me about a week or less. I'm not one of those people. They're uncontrollably delicious. ) People would travel hundreds of miles to watch me gorge myself on their heavenly nectar. (To haul the pits away, I'd hire a couple of Greek men. ) ) These are far superior to the hit-or-miss olive bar variety and much less expensive. This gets me closer to filling my tub while also leaving me with money to pay the Greeks. There's no way to go wrong with these!.

**This is purely personal taste, but I hope to prevent someone from making the same mistake I did**br>br>The olive quality is excellent, but they are packaged in a brine that I (and I suspect many others) dislike
3/5

I was on the hunt for something salty. A natural brine used to enhance the "fresh" flavor of Castelvetrano olives. The brine in which these Roland Olives are packed is similar to the salty, acidic, and sour brine found in a jar of grocery store green olives used for, say, dipping. a bloody mary is a bloody mary is a type of bloody mar br>br>Again, good quality and a matter of personal preference, but don't limit yourself to 52. 9 oz. of something you can't stand, like I couldn't stand!.

Taste and texture were disappointing
3/5

Castlevetrano olives are one of my favorite types of olives. I was a fan of another Amazon brand, but the price increase made them unaffordable for me. I decided to try the Roland brand after some depravation. I've enjoyed everything else I've tried from them, so I wasn't concerned. They didn't even compste to the others, which was unfortunate for me. These are soft to the point of mushy, salty in an unfavorable way. It has a peculiar saltiness to it, which none of us enjoy. In about a month, we usually finish an almost gallon can of the others. We're making ourselves eat these so we don't throw them away.

My wife and I both love Castelvetrano olives, and with the pandemic, olive bars that used to operate at several of the stores I frequent have either been shut down or reconfigured, and jarred olives have taken their place
5/5

I decided to treat myself and buy a larger can, partly because the price per pound was comparable to what I was paying at an olive bar, partly because I've had good luck with other Roland products, and partly because the product was delivered to my door. The olives are delicious. br>br> They're a good size, perhaps not as large as some of this variety's I've seen, but you'll be rewarded if you eat one. There's a lot of olive in that area. It was wonderful to eat these delectable morsels once more. They have a lovely mild, almost buttery flavor to them. They're great as a snack or in salads. I haven't made a tapenade or used them in cooked dishes yet, but I plan to do so soon. br>br>I admit it's a large quantity, but give some to friends and family, or split a container with a neighbor who enjoys olives as much as I do. When I finish my first can, I'm sure I'll be back to buy more. Fortunately, if you put them in a sealable container or a big jar, they should last a long time.

Very well done
5/5

Friends inquired as to what I planned to do with so many olives. to put it another way "Rebottle them, and give them to me for Christmas," I suggested. "These are what I consider to be a very good Castelvetrano olive: global, with an olive flavor and a fantastic aftertaste; the others may be a little cheaper, but these have the pit in them, which keeps the flavor intense. Costco in California and King Sooper Markets (at their olive bar) in Colorado both had very tasty Castelvetrano olives, and this could be their source because there are a lot of so-called "authentic" Castelvetrano olives on the market. There are green olives called Castelvetrano olives on the market.

VAST Improvement in the 2nd Olive Order
5/5

Update- br>I ordered another can of these because I keep track of price changes by keeping my favorite items in my shopping cart. br>It's similar to buying a stock when it's at a low price. br>When the price was cut in half, I decided to try Subscribe and Save once more. Two fantastic surprises. br>br> br>For starters, the olives are delectable and buttery, and they aren't overly salted. There is no need to soak the beans. br>There are two of them, S. S has finally been properly packaged. The olives were double wrapped in bubble wrap, as they were a large commercial size can. in a box that is just the right size to prevent other items from being squashed br>Even my Clif granola bars remained undamaged. br>br>Upgrading to 5 stars due to significant improvements in olive quality and shipping. br>br>Preliminary assessment- br>They were fantastic AFTER I soaked them three or four times in the Dead Sea to dilute the brine. br>Holy Dead Sea Batman! I didn't believe there was any hope. br>br> br>I emptied the entire can into one of my metal mixing bowls, rinsed it out, and then filled it with water. soaked for about 30 minutes 45 min. br>I tried it, and it was still salty. br>Rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse, and rinse some more Rep until you achieve the buttery flavor that these olives are known for. br>br>I had no regrets purchasing 3 pounds of olives once they were diluted. By doing Subscribe, you will save $5. Save.

Firm, moist, and delicious! It's very cost effective! In our house, we eat a lot of olives, both as snacks and in homemade breads
5/5

These olives are firm, have a strong flavor, and keep for a long time. I use them in my high hydration sourdough bread, and the flavor stays fresh and strong throughout the baking process. When I factor in the amount of olives I'm adding, I reduce the hydration amount slightly. These are unbeatable for snacking! It's not overly salty, but it's firm and has a very fresh flavor. These are a regular feature on our dinner table, and the kids adore them. The cost is extremely low, and these are the same olives for which you would pay $15. 95 for the olive buffets available at Sprouts and Whole Foods stores. Save money by purchasing the can - we re- They last a long time if you pack them into 1 liter mason jars with the water they come in.
