This is exactly what I'm looking for. In America, the majority of dashi is made with fish, but it is heavily flavored with additives. It smells a little fishy as a result of the great ingredients, but it cooks quickly and makes a great soup or broth base.
This worked perfectly in my miso soup. Fresh, with a flavor that isn't overpowering but is still delicious. I'll be placing another order.
It's great and easy to find, but it's one star lower at Costco because it's cheaper there.
