I'm glad I came across it. I've been looking for this rice in every grocery store, but someone informed me that it had been removed from the shelves due to its name. I think it's a terrible idea. I'm black, so the name didn't matter to me; it was the best rice available. The texture is flaky, not sticky.
There isn't a better alternative in my opinion. My husband always asks, "Uncle Ben's?" when I'm making rice for dinner. ", to which I respond, "Is there anything else?".
It does not absorb the oils and become soggy as a result. It's a good size to have on hand because it's not too big to be difficult to handle.
I ordered this because I like ready rice, but the large bag has a major flaw in that it does not close properly. To keep the rice fresh, I have to tape it or use a very large plastic container. Especially since I live in a state with a high level of humidity.

I'm from the Caribbean, and I love brown rice. When I was stuck in New York during the first corvid19 outbreak, I turned to this seller for brown rice because I couldn't find it anywhere else.
Grains remain separated and fluff up easily.
The best rice that never fails. I got it for a great price and have been using it for years. It has a great taste.
