Questions & Answers

Is the rice supposed to be white or a little brown'ish'? I got mine and it's white, but it looks brown'ish' on Amazon. ?

Regular rice should be white, but Uncle Ben's also makes brown rice, which will be brown in color.

The best rice I've ever had
5/5

I'm glad I came across it. I've been looking for this rice in every grocery store, but someone informed me that it had been removed from the shelves due to its name. I think it's a terrible idea. I'm black, so the name didn't matter to me; it was the best rice available. The texture is flaky, not sticky.

THE MOST DELICIOUS RICE I'VE EVER CONSIDERED! I've been eating Uncle Ben's rice for nearly 70 years and buying it for more than 50 years
5/5

There isn't a better alternative in my opinion. My husband always asks, "Uncle Ben's?" when I'm making rice for dinner. ", to which I respond, "Is there anything else?".

Uncle Ben's Rice is our go-to rice, particularly for stuffing grape leaves
5/5

It does not absorb the oils and become soggy as a result. It's a good size to have on hand because it's not too big to be difficult to handle.

I DID NOT RECEIVE WHAT I ORDERED
3/5

We don't eat a lot of rice, but it's something we keep in the pantry. It wasn't necessary to open until the end of last month, and the rice is brown, not white. That was not what I had requested. I initially assumed I had made a mistake, but after reviewing my order, I discovered that I had not ordered brown. My time limit for returning has expired. Just wanted to let you know that your order has been received. Don't be like me and assume you got the right product because of the "orange" bag; I actually prefer the taste of the brown. It isn't, however, the texture of the white. The brown has a much chewier texture.

It's time for a new tote
3/5

I ordered this because I like ready rice, but the large bag has a major flaw in that it does not close properly. To keep the rice fresh, I have to tape it or use a very large plastic container. Especially since I live in a state with a high level of humidity.

Uncle Ben's is a good one
5/5

There are many different types of rice available in grocery stores, but we haven't been able to locate any Uncle Ben's rice. The preflavored mixtures are all salty, so we have to be careful about how much salt we eat. This has a low salt content and is similar to what we've been eating for years. It's great that it's accessible.

This is fantastic
5/5

I'm from the Caribbean, and I love brown rice. When I was stuck in New York during the first corvid19 outbreak, I turned to this seller for brown rice because I couldn't find it anywhere else.

Who knew this old standby from my youth would be good for not only lowering blood sugar (contrary to a starch like rice, but look up studies on it), but also a boon to my 'Microbiome'? br>br>This appears to be a good source of Resistant Starch, which is a prebiotic - a probiotic is just as important - feeds the good bacteria in your gut, which serves as your'second brain,' producing a variety of feel-good (and feel-bad) hormones and neurotransmitters
5/5

People who used this to check their blood sugar after a meal discovered that it was lower. I haven't tried it myself, and I don't have diabetes, but I am aware that controlling blood sugar is an important part of weight loss - which is something I'm always keen to do. br>br>So many of the health issues that people in our country face can be traced back to issues with the microbiome - Believe it or not, there are more bacteria in our bodies than there are ''us'' cells, and the makeup and communication of these bacteria determines our health - or lack thereof - to a large extent. Emotions and cognitive abilities are included in this - Because of all the ''insults'' our guts and bodies take from processed empty ''foods,' pesticides like glyphosate that are endemic in conventional food crops, pollution, and depleted soils, we need to take conscious steps to rebuild our intestinal flora, and something like resistant source starch like this can help, along with clean fruits and vegetables, fiber, clean water, and adding some cultured foods like sauerkraut or fermented foods like sauer Who'd have guessed? br>br>.
