Questions & Answers

When you are not using the bag of rice, what do you do with it?

5 gallon buckets made of food grade materials are how I store food. My first step is to dump it directly into the bucket from the bag. In case you need the cooking directions on the bucket, you can write them on it or cut them out and tape them on, or you can just ignore them. Put two cups of rice in a crockpot with water, and simmer it This dish makes a perfect rice that is done but not overcooked

What ratio of rice to sugar to vinegar do you personally use when you make sushi with Kokuho Rose?

Making sushi vinegar while the rice is cooking is the best way to enhance its flavor. Here is the ingredients you would need for 2 cups of uncooked rice 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp salt. Combine these ingredients in a small saucepan and heat them until the sugar and salt By adding sugar to the vinegar, the vinegar is less tart By adding salt, the vinegar's taste is accentuated while the sweetness is reduced. As soon as your rice has been cooked, place it in a bowl that allows it to cool, such as a Sprinkle your sushi vinegar mixture evenly over your rice, and then, using a wooden spoon or spatula, mix the rice and vinegar together. (Avoid using metal, as it will change the taste of the rice.) Be careful to not break the kernels of the rice or to flatten the rice, as it won't have the same look and feel. When the rice is well mixed, fan it down until it reaches room temperature using a fan or a plate. This will result in the rice having a glossy appearance while still remaining sticky and nice. The kernels of rice will crack when you do not fan it, as the hull will not remain intact. As soon as this step is completed, you can use your rice.

How do you know which farm this is ?

Nomura and Company are mentioned, but not which farm. There is not a Koda Heirloom variety grown here, but rather a variety they have other farmers grow.

It's still true

WHY am I eating this. Getting this order again is a source of conflict for our family. The following are some of the reasons After beginning the rinse process, all of the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth (for real) rinses are kinda grey-looking, which should be alarming to any of us. The sky is brown and The only thing that works for me is to measure out how much I want to cook, dump it in a mesh strainer bowl in the sink and let a spray of cold water run through it for three minutes before putting in the pot and still having to rinse it five times! My family became so curious about it that we simply gathered at the sink to watch and wonder, "What's wrong Since I have eaten rice all of my life, I have rarely had to rinse a short grain or medium grain rice more than four times before the water 'runs clear. ' I wasn't expecting that taste, but I was so happy when I tried it. Because of the dirty-water issue, we're still wondering if there is something we're putting in our bodies that might not be good for us. Rinse after use Over ninety percent 10 minutes is the time it takes to complete this. It is my regret that we do not plan to order this again, even though it tastes fine. There may be nothing to be paranoid about. The problem is, however, as a mom, I don't want to take Chanes, especially nowadays and in light of how much we eat.

The rice I use and mother have both been using this brand for years
5/5

Even after trying other premier rice brands, I always end up coming back to this. A perfect grain of rice. My rice is an important part of my culture as a Japanese.

I could not think of a better rice

This does not include the Heirloom Varietal, which is much more expensive. Let me start by saying that I am In a Japanese household, rice is a must-have food item. It's probably not such a big deal to me now except for the fact that my Mom is A Japanese restaurant's rice is what determines if that woman will return. She will not judge a Japanese restaurant's entrees, presentation, or sushi. If the rice is not good, she will not return. Her plate is full she's likely to leave it there. The importance of it cannot be overstated. The majority of people can't tell the difference, but once you've tried Heirloom especially, no other brand is going to give you the same satisfaction. They took notes from my mother who has taught them that. When it comes to rice, she is not to be trifled with.

This is my honest opinion This rice tastes and looks just like true Korean/Japanese rice of the right oval shape and level of stickiness
5/5

It is the closest you can get to true Korean/Japanese style rice in the US. Highly recommended for anyone who likes rice in the style of the Northern Asian region.

Product of high quality, versatile for making rolls at home
4/5

We first bought this so that we could make our own rolls at home, and understood the importance of the right rice. It was definitely not the rice that made our pics uninspiring, but it contributed to their lack of instagram-worthiness. This rice indeed is fluffy and sticky when it is prepared for sushi making, making it easy to form rolls and balls from it. This rice has only been used for that purpose a couple of times, but we have bought it several times because it is also a great dinner side salad. I love how fluffy and soft it is when it is cooked, and it doesn't get stuck to the bottom of the rice maker either. Before cooking the rice, we soak it for 20 minutes, drain, and rinse it. A good absorber of flavors as well Serve it up with sauce to soak up the sauce. It also works well as a salad ingredient because it stays tender even The product we buy has been a satisfying choice for us, regardless of whether or not we are looking to make sushi or just enjoy some good rice.

Is a ripoff! A market price of $10 more than what is offered currently

I have noticed that the grains are much smaller, shorter, and stickier than the ones I got from an A second problem is that it costs $10 more than market price. My disappointment is great!.

I really enjoyed the rice
5/5

To buy Kokuho Rose rice is to do so in the best possible way. which may seem odd for someone who is Korean, but it is perfect for kimbap due to the sticky nature and the small grain. This is an excellent rice, but some may not enjoy it as it is sticky. It can be used to make rice balls.
