Questions & Answers

Does this product have a toasty (kasha) or raw flavor? There are differing reactions from people, and there is no indication in the product. Many thanks for your kind words! ?

Often, I think people are confused by the answer they provide. The toasted grain in this photo is also known as Kasha, or buckwheat. It would be much lighter and green in color if the Buckwheat had not been toasted. It can either be considered raw or cooked, as it needs to be prepared before it can be consumed.

It's even better if you rinse it
3/5

The only reason I gave it 3 stars is that there was too much stone thrown at me The pieces and groats you have to sort through before cooking must be sorted out before cooking. Additionally, you shouldn't put it in your mouth until you rinse it first, because you don't know where it had been before. For you to see what I'm talking about, I uploaded several pictures. Other than that, the taste of the grain is the same as any other type of buckwheat.

This turned out to be a wonderful outcome
5/5

There was a caramelized onion and mushroom sauce on the table. In spite of the fact that I had it on my shelf for months, I just got around to cooking it. It was too late to rinse it, so I threw it in the rice cooker (without salt or This turned out to be a wonderful outcome. In addition, I made a caramelized onion and mushroom sauce to go along with the meal. I liked it a lot. There are 155 calories in a cup of buckwheat, compared to 495 in a cup of whole wheat. There are 218 calories in a cup of brown rice. It has a lower glycemic index than white rice. For Weight Watchers, a whole cup of grain is worth 4 points versus 3. 3 for whole wheat. My rice was 7 points. I had also already made some chili (and we southerners often add spaghetti to chili), but I make mine separate. So yesterday, I tried to add 1/2 cup of buckwheat groats to my chili instead of a fascinating addition to the chili and gave me the comfort of comfort food. There are not enough good things to say.

It has a wonderful It's a great grain alternative for me since I can't eat wheat, rice, or corn anymore, so I'm always on the hunt for something filling to use as a grain substitute
4/5

This buckwheat is perfect. As well as being reasonable, the price is ideal. Having a nutty flavor, it goes well with butter or with brown sugar and is good with both. There is nothing you can read in the package because it is in a different language. The buckwheat does easily slip out of this one, so I highly recommend using scissors to open it, except if you don't mind sweeping it up for the rest of your life. Several things can be made with it on the internet. It's easy to cook and you can find a ton of ideas on the internet! Variety of foods to choose from.

They are superior to products made in the U
5/5

S. by a wide margin. In my opinion, this kasha flavor and texture are difficult to compare to the flavor and texture of the Wolffs brand kasha. Both of them use similar cooking techniques (including coating the dry buckwheat with an egg before toasting the buckwheat). There is a shipping charge greater than the item's cost, since this is an imported item. It is possible to justifiably claim "gourmet" chocolate and coffee if one adopts a price be damned attitude. Getting excited about a humble item like groats can be tricky, but this one will tempt you!.

The taste is much better than when bought in a health food store
5/5

The bulk section at the health food store had this as well as toasted buckwheat. Compared to the previous one, this is much better in terms of scent and taste. Unlike the one I bought from a health food store, this was too salty Served with toast. In addition to smelling burned, the buckwheat tasted burned in the kitchen, since there was also a strong burnt smell. This is a better choice for me, so I'm glad.

I can't believe how poorly packed it was
3/5

The time I spent on was very valuable to me. There were buckwheat grains all over the place because the package broke. I can't believe how poorly packed it was. Even though it was a lot of work to clean my apartment and public hallway, the saddest thing about it is that I paid for it and I didn't even Here is a photo of the attached.

Grechka is a great painter
5/5

I have found a genuine Grechka (in Russian)! So many reviews confuse me, and some are very well written. Greekhka is exactly as I used to eat when I was a kid. A home cooked meal will vary in texture depending on the method of preparation, just like rice does. This product would be a great buy for me in the future!.

And I am a big fan of Grechka
4/5

Oh my gosh. "Grechka" is my favorite drink, and I love being Russian. As a resident of the US, buckwheat is not available everywhere, and I do not have access to a Russian store nearby, so I was delighted to see that this product is available through Amazon. I enjoyed eating the cooked buckwheat because it was firm and soft. When I add it to boiling water, I find the trick is to add it while the water is already hot, rather than heating the water along with it. It is perfectly fine to start with the rice in the water and then cook it up into a mushy concoction (say, for breakfast), but I like it better to cook up into Sometimes when you get bulk buckwheat, particularly imported brands, you have to be wary of pantry moths, but I did not experience this problem with this product.

I will definitely make another purchase in the future.
