The food product may be edible since all four of the packs were partially torn at the top, and there were groats spilling out of them. The buckwheat itself looks fine to me. I will check with the local Health Department to see what advice they can give me since the item is non-perishable. Can be refunded. There was one pack that weighed much less out of the box than it did after it had been closed, and since there were only a few groats inside the plastic bag containing the other buckwheat package, it had also lost weight before it had been.
I would consider it to be a quality buckwheat. It is easier to cook and is more tasty to roast backweed compared to raw, which is traditional in Eastern Europe. Its country of origin is Luitvania, a country known for its food and agricultural products of high quality. There is only one downside, it is more expensive than other buckweat that is available.
Due to its already roasted nature, I like this product because it is ready to eat. Graats made from buckwheat may be left overnight in this container. When the groats have absorbed lots of water, they can be eaten as a nutritious and delicious breakfast food without having to cook.
Nuttiness is very present in the flavor, and it is a joy to eat.
There is a problem with the item. There was a tear in it. As a result, I won't be able to eat this, so I will have to throw it away. That I cannot get my money back or get a replacement is what I find frustrating.
My favorite way to use it is in smoothies, baking, as well as cooking with it as a starch. Despite eating alot of buckwheat, I think this is the best I have ever eaten.
I recommend you give it a shot.
It has a great taste.
