This 4-pound bag of chickpea/garbanzo bean flour was a great deal. In many of my recipes, I use chickpea flour. I like to use chickpea flour in white pepper gravy, a little added into biscuits, and other recipes that use predominantly white flour because I am a Pescitarian who eats eggs. Chickpeas are packed with protein and are not starchy like wheat flours.

This was purchased so that I could make bread without using wheat flour. This flour, on the other hand, does not taste like chickpea flour and has a bitter, spicy flavor. br>I'm not sure if it's current or not. br>It is non-returnable, so save your money and try a different brand.

I'm just looking for a better quality one at a lower price. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch, but it had a metallic, almost tin foil taste to it. Yes, I cook with tin foil, but I've made items on glass, without tin foil, and so on, and it still had that metallic taste. Again, it's possible that mine was a mistake, but I'm not going to order from them again.

Chickpea flour is not available in any of my local grocery stores. It was a time-consuming and messy process for me to make it myself. I used a food processor and a coffee/spice grinder, which made a lot of noise and probably irritated my neighbors. So I went to Amazon and found this product, which was the best value for money and came in a larger bag than I expected. I'll buy from you again without a doubt. Thank you very much!.
