As a part of a meal every other day, I prepare a chickpea and fava pancake. To add variety to our diet, I like to eat fava beans (25%) as well as tomatoes. Any differences in flavor or any other way do not stand out to me. The dough has been used for savory and sweet (pizzas- I had some sweet peanut butter and ginger pancakes today, they were delicious.
Chicken is one of the things I've fried in it. Because I was afraid of the mess, I had not made fried chicken at home for over two decades. I remember when my husband was diagnosed with gluten intolerance 4 years ago, he really missed a fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy every now and then. So, I made it at home and used it to coat That was very good, much better than getting it from a restaurant. The dish is still something I make very rarely, maybe once every six weeks. Corn starch replaces flour in the gravy I make with it so it has the same texture as the old-fashioned cream
Although I do not use Authenic Foods, I use a blend of Garfava bean flour (Bob's Red Mill), tapioca flour, and cornstarch flour for almost all of my baking. The rice flour I use for pie crusts is a rice blend.

When I tried to order Garbanzo Fava flour twice in recent weeks, I was redirected to a different page. There were two orders that said the item could not be returned! I received oat bran instead of cereal for the first time a few weeks ago. An extremely frustrating experience.
In addition to being very healthy, which is important in the modern world. There is no doubt in my mind that it is worth the investment.
The gluten free (GF) flour is perfect for making roux for This GF flour blend comes close to capturing the essence of all the others I tried. Since I grew up in Louisiana, I prefer a dark and flavorful roux. There is no better way to create that authentic Cajun gumbo taste than this recipe. if you want it perfect you must include the right seafood or smoked pork sausage!) I browned it on the stove in extra light olive oil, using the same proportions as I would when I was using wheat flour. Having yet to make a dried roux, I have not yet experimented with it.
Since we started using this grain-based flour, we've used it in a variety of recipes There is no charge for the This bean flour is an affordable alternative to nut flours that is more like typical flour, since we only have access to nuts as an alternative. Besides bread, cookies, muffins, and brownies, this is an excellent addition to a variety of baked goods. Neither I nor any of my family members have tried it in a cake recipe.
The batter has a slight beany flavor, but that flavor is gone after baking.
This is a fine product, on time, reasonably priced, and packaged well, which will allow me to find alternatives to wheat, rye, barley, and oats. (Thanks to Dr. William Davis's book, Wheat Belly, I have successfully lost 29 pounds, 15 points of blood sugar, and 25 years of, knee arthritis.
Since being gluten-free, I'm doing everything I can to avoid it I've been on a gluten-free diet for years, and I have used several kinds of flours, but never this particular type. Using it in a devil's food carob cake recipe (mine) was a sure thing. I think this recipe is a bit risky since the flour is a combination of garbonzo and However, there is nothing unsatisfying about the cake. The cake does not taste of beans at all. My only reason for giving it three stars is that I have not yet tried using it in another recipe. You get a very large quantity of product in this order, and it is easy to store along the back walls of my refrigerator. You're right, I love.
It is a great flour combination for gluten free recipes, such as those in the gluten free gourmet cookbook, by Bette Hagman. There are a few other flours you need to add to it, including cornstarch, tapioca, and arrowroot, and you will also need xantham gum , but the mixture is excellent as is.
