This item did not deliver on its promises. First, despite the fact that the expiration date isn't for another year, it smells and tastes rancid. This could be the cause of the bad aftertaste mentioned in some reviews. I also had an allergic reaction to the preservatives BHA, BHT, and TBHQ because I am allergic to them. Preservatives are not listed in the ingredients, and while this isn't required by law, it gives the impression that the product is better than it is. Although those preservatives are not allowed on the paleo diet, at least one of them is present in this product.
AVOCADOS ARE MY FAVORITE FOOD! The date of expiration was still valid; But the taste of ROTTEN AVOCADOS was too much for me! This was the first time I'd ever tried avocado oil. So, until I bought another brand at my not-so-local Whole Foods, which was much milder and suitable for partial substitution in my homemade mayo, I couldn't say I knew what to expect. I WILL NOT be purchasing this brand in the future!.
I usually enjoy it, but this bottle or lot has gone bad. I'm writing this review because Amazon says it's not returnable, despite the fact that I only received it a few days ago.
This oil has a flavor that we enjoy. It's a rich, dark green, much darker than any other avocado oil available. The bottle, on the other hand, is one of my pet peeves. After I tried unsuccessfully to open it, my partner cut his hand. We had to repackage it in a new bottle, which resulted in a significant loss of product. We bought this product twice and had to put it in another bottle each time, resulting in a significant loss of oil. As a result, I would never purchase it again. I contacted the company, but no response was received.
This is completely clear and flavorless; I will not purchase again!.
to the oil used in cooking This has taken the place of canola oil as our preferred cooking oil. to the oil used in cooking Only pastured butter, olive oil, avocado, and coconut oil (both expeller pressed and virgin) are used in our recipes. This product is recommended for anyone who wants to protect their health and get rid of those over-the-counter medications. seed oils that have been processed and are inflammatory!.
I use it exclusively for all of my cooking needs because it is such a great product. I'm following a Paleo diet, and this brand satisfies all of my nutritional needs. It goes well in salads and in the preparation of meat and vegetable dishes. It has a high smoke point and can be used to fry. Avacado oil from Primal Kitchen is a pantry staple for me.
This review in no way diminishes the fact that this is a fantastic olive oil, EXCEPT. It's ridiculously expensive. br>br>However, that isn't the point of this review. BE AWARE OF OTHER LINKS ON THESE PAGES IF YOU CLICK ON THEM. Avocado oil is also available on the same page as this item. After realizing that I had clicked on a link that sold olive oil instead of avocado oil, I clicked on the wrong link to see what else was available. br>br>It's not a big deal; I'll simply return it. I assumed that was the case. It's a non-perishable item. Returnable, despite the fact that it is not stated anywhere on the page. NO WHERE. It's also not on the pantry's list. br>br>So, be careful what you click on because you might end up with a surprise like I did. br>br>My criticism has no bearing on the product's quality; items that are non-essential are not mentioned in my review. Returnable items should be marked as such in the area of the page where "free returns" is usually found. Yes, I did order avocado oil in the first place.
