Too Fine: I should have paid more attention to the "fine shred" description of this coconut because it didn't work well in the recipes I purchased it for

The texture is finer than normal coconut, more like grated parmesan. It wouldn't hold its shape in a macaron recipe.

YUM! I use it to make acai bowls and smoothies, as well as to top them off

It's shredded to perfection and tastes fantastic. I've had it for about a month and make about six smoothies/bowls per week with it. I still have about a fourth of a package left, which I make sure to rubber band and pack in a bag, and it's still as fresh and delicious as the day I first opened it.

This coconut appeals to me because it contains no additional sugars or additives. Because it's dehydrated shredded coconut, it'll dry out quickly once you open it and break the airtight seal. However, I keep mine fresh by rubber banding it and storing it in a zip lock bag in the fridge (as shown below). It's great for baking cookies, adding it to smoothies, putting it in yogurt, and anything else that could benefit from some coconut. It's a great product that's both organic and sugar-free!.

It's important to note that this is a "fine shred" rather than a flake of coconut. It does, however, have a great flavor and keeps for a long time in the freezer. You can use it in curry dishes, yogurt, and anywhere else where you want a coconut flavor!.

It is exactly what it claims to be. I was hoping for a slightly coarser grind and a little more moisture. If you're toasting it, keep an eye on it because it browns quickly (I burned the first batch), so keep an eye on it. It has a nice taste.
