The fact that the flakes were so small disappointed me. I was expecting the massive coconut strips that they used to sell under this name. I had intended to make a sugar-free dessert. chocolate and free snacks- I'd like to cover coconut strips in chocolate, but I won't be able to do so with these tiny pieces. It isn't as finely chopped as grated coconut, but it isn't much larger either. Please let me know if you know where I can get the larger flakes/strips. Thanks.
Bob's Red Mill has a great selection of goods. Every morning, I sprinkled these coconut flakes on top of my oatmeal, and they add a lot of flavor and texture, especially when combined with slivered almonds.
Pack! By making a mix with nuts and rice, I go through a lot of this. yum yum yum yum yum yum yum This is something you should try if you like coconut. This is my favorite type of coconut that I've ever come across!.
In May 2020, I bought this pack. I noticed some discoloration around the flake edges early this month, August, and discovered that the packages were marked "sell by" July 2020. Unfortunately, the freshness and crunchiness that I had come to expect were gone.
I use it for everything from granola baking to putting a handful in a smoothie. A big thumbs up.
I've used it for granola and a cookie recipe, and it's a great product.
And the price is unbeatable, especially considering the high quality.
This oatmeal pack has a great flavor that isn't overly sweet like some others. It's ideal for my hectic schedule.
