I believe they are vegan because they do not contain any animal products or biproducts.
4 bags.
When we used it, we didn't have to temper it. In fact, we simply melted it and dipped whatever we wanted in it, and it worked perfectly. We've made gluten-free cherry dip. I used it to make peppermint bark out of free chocolate sandwich cookies.
That's a question for King David's customer service. It could just be a combination of "secret ingredients" that give the chips a distinct taste or flavor from the King David brand; they're delicious, though, and four bags last me a year; just keep in mind that processed sweets should be consumed in moderation:

This vegan white chocolate is merely acceptable. It's one of the few versions I've seen, and that's its main selling point. Because it doesn't melt as well as high-quality chocolate, it comes across as almost waxy and too sweet to eat, especially when used in a mold or poured out onto a sheet for bark. It hardens quickly, so if you're piping or decorating with it, you'll have almost no time to work with it. I won't buy it again unless I only need a small amount or know I'll combine it with other ingredients in a larger recipe. Even so, I'd be hesitant due to the waxy texture.
This product should not be purchased because the chips are sickeningly sweet and have an odd texture. I bought them to use as dipping sauce for pretzels at a baby shower. I'm going to Whole Foods or Sprouts to see if I can find a better product because this one isn't returnable, and I didn't realize that. I would not buy them; instead, I would go to the grocery store. I just received the vegan white chips and am extremely disappointed; the flavor is bland, and the texture is not as creamy as I had hoped.
The title and description of this item said gluten-free and lactose-free when I ordered it earlier today. I ordered them specifically for a gluten-free holiday treat I'm making to take somewhere with a few gluten-free people. br>br>I just received the package. "May contain gluten," according to the ingredient list. In any case, I'm going to use them. However, I wanted to make sure that others were aware of the situation.
I make truffles and molded chocolates for hundreds of people every Christmas, and I wanted to make something special for the vegans I give gifts to, so I tried this. I've worked with chocolate and white chocolate for a long time, and these were by far the worst chips I've ever encountered. Yes, it's vegan, but it's not made with white chocolate. These are similar to candy melts, but while they do contain cocoa butter, it's so far down the ingredient list that it's not worth thinking about in terms of white chocolate flavor, and they don't melt like candy melts or white chocolate. They become extremely thick and difficult to mold once melted. So they're fine for baking, such as in cookies, but you'll need to add something to make them more fluid if you want to mold them into shapes. I had to add equal parts cocoa butter to the chips just to get them to fit into molds, and even then they were a little thick; they'd be fine for white chocolate macadamia nut cookies or anything else where the chips need to hold their shape through baking, but they're not a good option for melting or molding.
Looks: Expensive, with a bad taste. They appear sloppy, for lack of a better word. It's more like white chocolate drops than chips. texture: br>br>texture: br>br>texture: br>br>texture They don't have a particularly smooth flavor and have a grainy texture on the tongue. br>br>Taste: There is a slight vanilla flavor missing. Most white chocolate has a coconut flavor to it. Sugar is the dominant flavor. Value: br>br> None. For the quantity and quality, it is far too expensive. Valhrona white chocolate is far superior in terms of quality, taste, and value.
Because vegan white chocolate chips are so difficult to come by, I was really hoping to enjoy these. These, unfortunately, do not satisfy in any way. If all you need is something to do, these will suffice. look- They don't taste anything like dairy white chocolate when used in a recipe, and they certainly don't taste like it. If you've ever had white chocolate covered pretzels where you can tell the coating is just white candy, that's about how these chips taste: overly sweet, basically just sugar taste; texture isn't creamy, but rather gritty and crystalline; I don't recommend them.
White chocolate substitute is provided for free. When it comes to vegan-friendly food, King David never disappoints me. baking chips that are good for the environment My vegan (and non-vegan) children, both big and small These white chocolate chips, as well as the KD butterscotch chips, are a hit with vegan kids. These are also fantastic at melting! I used these as the coating for vegan churro toffee (a la Disneyland) and was blown away! br>The chips are smaller than regular chips and don't have the same flavor as regular chips. non-vegan, vegan They don't replace kosher chips, but they're a great substitute for people who can't or won't eat dairy. I'd gladly pay any price to be able to serve my family delicious vegan desserts made with King David products!.
These are fantastic. Because both of my nursing children are allergic to dairy, I am unable to consume it. I got this set for Christmas and used the four bags to make a variety of items- Vegan fudge, brownies with white chocolate ganache, and vegan peppermint bark The fudge set up nicely after it melted. To get the ganache right, I had to use a little less liquid than recommended. These chips appear to be a little less solid than standard white chocolate, so keep that in mind when baking. No one can tell the difference because it tastes so good.
