Not only have I been reviewing chocolate for more than a decade, but I also temper my own chocolate on a weekly basis. br>When it comes to getting a great deal on a super high-end item, The 74% by Guittard is truly incredible quality dark chocolate. br>It's rich, easy to work with, tempers nicely, and isn't overly sweet—- but it's sweet—- It has a well-balanced flavor profile and can be eaten straight from the bag. br>Of course, you can eat it straight from the bag. It doesn't have to be tempered or baked into a cookie to satisfy your cravings.
If you like dark chocolate but want something a tiny bit less sweet than 70%, I would encourage you to try this, it’s truly excellent.
What can you say if you don't have anything else to say? br>About a month ago, I purchased these chocolate "wafers" for the first time because I make my own seasonal chocolates to give as gifts. I make them as dark as I can, knowing that the 'average' woman prefers dark chocolate to milk chocolate. And, more than likely, they're almost TOO dark at times. However, all of the "ladies in my life" adore them, so you can see why this is a great place to start when it comes to extremely dark chocolate "kisses. " However, there is one minor issue. It was necessary for me to re-write because - order more well. They were gone by the time I finished making my chocolates! br>Just putting it out there.
This is no longer my preferred method for baking. It's my only option; I've tried other artisan bars and wafers, and this is the fruitiest, least bitter chocolate I've ever used in a recipe. Smooth, complex flavor with a pleasant aftertaste and a good melting consistency.
The product is excellent. This isn't ideal. This chocolate is required for a specific recipe, and it is quite expensive for the size of a regular bag of chocolate chips. I'm looking for a product that isn't damaged when it arrives and is well packaged. I would be less irritated if the price were lower. However, a once-in-a-while indulgence is acceptable.
Based on other reviews, I was concerned that it would arrive melted, but it did not. The quality is excellent, and I will definitely order from you again! I'm surprised that most supermarkets no longer sell these wafers; I'm glad I was able to find them on Amazon.
Guittard is a chocolate manufacturer of exceptional quality. From chocolate chip cookies (chopped) to French chocolate mousse to deluxe hot chocolate, I use these small disks or wafers in a variety of recipes. The high level of quality is noticeable. This chocolate costs a little more, but it's well worth it.
This is the chocolate "chips" I use exclusively in my chocolate chip cookie recipe, which I've been perfecting for a long time. I coarsely chop the wafers so that every bite is chock-full of chocolate! I would strongly suggest it.
These chocolate wafers provide me with a great deal of pleasure. Because I only eat three per day, this is critical. The sugar and cocoa used in the chocolate are in perfect harmony. There is no aftertaste, and the texture is neither grainy nor waxy.
