Ghirardelli Chocolate Premium Baking Chips 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate, 10 oz (Pack of 12)

I've been eating these every day for about 20 years for health reasons (dark chocolate helps with arthritis). 4 oz of high-quality dark chocolate per day is recommended. I've also been a long-time fan of Safeway's Ghirardelli chips. I made the decision to buy in bulk online(? ) but the price was similar, and when I received the product, I was disappointed to find old "bloomed" chips that were brittle and tasted bad. I didn't get any of the smooth, delectable flavors that I'm used to. I went to Safeway the other day to get a bag to compare, and whoaaaah! HUGE DIFFERENCE IN EVERY ASPECT, INCLUDING APPEARANCE, TEXTURE, AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, TASTE. I understand that buying something online comes with a risk of not being able to check and return a bag when needed. BUYING FROM THIS SOURCE IS NOT RECOMMENDED. IN RELATION TO FRESH, HIGH-QUALITY GHIRARDELLI CHIPS, THEY ARE GROSS.

The best bittersweet chips on the market. I'm so happy I found these on Amazon. My grocery and big-box stores went out of business one by one. The large industrial bag, and then the smaller ones, were no longer carried by big box stores. I was overjoyed to discover chocolate chip cookies by the case, as they are a holiday staple. Thank you so much, Ghirardelli and Amazon!.

I bought these to use in a couple of recipes that called for bittersweet chocolate chips, which I didn't want to go out and find during Covid. They melted easily, incorporating the diced fruit, hazelnuts, and spice cookie bits was simple, and the chocolate is flavorful. I made chocolate salami with them, and it's a new favorite.

The Ghirardelli chocolate chips are larger, which I prefer. It melts more easily. It tastes much better!.
