They're a great product from a well-known company; I haven't had any melting issues, but I've heard of others who have. It's a dark chocolate bar with a substantial amount of cocoa, and it's delicious. It's very easy to melt. The only gripe is that the chips are a little too big. If you want a more even distribution of these large chips in a cookie, chop them up a little. They are quite substantial. I enjoy eating them because they are supposedly healthier than milk chocolate chips. Even so, they're tasty.
The discs are slightly larger than Nestle Toll House chips.
This is without a doubt the best chocolate chip on the market. I eat them straight from the bag, in oatmeal chocolate ships, as a dipping chocolate, and as a topping for brownies. There's no end to the list. I used to buy them from the grocery store, but they recently stopped carrying them. They're not too sweet, creamy and smooth, and have an AMAZING chocolate flavor. I'm so glad Amazon sells them because it means I won't have to go through withdrawals. )br>br>Oh, and they're in PERFECT condition when they arrive. Ghirardelli is clearly an expert in the field of chocolate. I placed an order for 5 bags, which arrived in a lined box with frozen gel packs. The chocolate was cool and the packs were still frozen. This is incredible. I stood there stunned for a moment before summoning my boyfriend to inspect the packaging. We're both impressed, and we'll be bringing the gel packs with us on our hikes to keep our food cool.
I'm not going to purchase any more chocolate chips. Their chocolate chip cookie dough recipe (found on the back of the package) is one I've memorized.
My roommate ate the entire bag of cookies that I had planned to make in one night. It's got to be excellent. Lol. br>br>Aside from the jokes, I've used this brand for cooking and portion control snacks in the past. This is fantastic.
On Amazon, you can get a good deal on a high-quality product. Especially since supermarkets don't have any sales during the coronavirus season.
Although I was not a fan of the bitterness, my daughter used the chocolate to make some delicious cookies.
