When you're in a hurry but still want to cook, chopped garlic in a jar comes in handy. Garlic (or chopped ginger) gets stuck in the part of the jar that juts out just below the lid, making the little squatty jars extremely difficult to use. I used to ignore those small inconvenient jars, but then I came across this large jar. Olive oil is used to store the garlic. Right there in the title, it says so! br>br>Wait, there's something else. Garlic, soy oil, and olive oil are among the ingredients listed on the label. Because it was advertised as being jarred in olive oil, I decided to buy it. Soy oil was not something I bargained for, and it was not something I would ever purchase. To begin with, any soy that isn't labeled as organic, regardless of shape, size, or processing method, has been genetically modified. Second, it is significantly less expensive than olive oil. A teaspoon of chopped garlic is also equal to one garlic clove, according to the jar label. According to the label, I needed 3 teaspoons of garlic for a recent recipe that called for three garlic cloves. That's a significant amount of soy oil. br>br>The garlic itself is tasty, so for those who don't mind soy oil (or GMOs), this is a great product; however, I was expecting olive oil and would not have purchased it if I had known about the soy oil. This should be noted in the listing; I'll use this jar because I don't use garlic every day, but I won't buy it again because of the soy oil. I'm hoping that changes because I prefer American garlic to imported garlic!.
This is incredible! This is my second jar of CR garlic; the first was the crushed garlic, which was also fantastic! I specifically requested the chopped garlic this time because I prefer chopped garlic in certain dishes. My family and I are garlic connoisseurs. Without a doubt, this is the best jarred garlic I've ever tasted. I appreciate not having to peel anything. I can still get the fresh garlic flavor I need in my cooking without having to chop fresh garlic cloves. Do yourself a favor and read this. Stop buying your local grocery store's crappy water. Purchasing a jar of CR's garlic is a smart investment. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase! It's well worth the money! I'm hoping it'll remain available on Amazon indefinitely!.
I really like this brand, and the seller packaged my jar very carefully. The order arrived in perfect condition, bubble-wrapped and nestled in its own little cardboard box. I deducted a star because, despite the label's claim of chopped garlic, this is clearly a crushed garlic jarred paste, which I don't require. Unfortunately, Christopher Ranch is no longer available at my regular grocery store, so I'll have to find another way to get the chopped garlic. My search for answers continues.
I bought this to use in a Guam salad, and it's fantastic. I've never had better ready-to-use garlic. This can be used in any recipe that requires garlic. I use it frequently in a variety of dishes, including Mexican dishes. The best part is that you won't have to spend a lot of time cleaning up after all the mess. This has a great freshness to it. I'll never buy the cloves again, but this is one of the best garlics for any application.
I was blown away by how hard you worked. I've never been a fan of prepared garlic, but I decided to give it a shot, and it turned out to be delicious! Freshly chopped garlic, of course, with oil is my favorite. But it did save me a lot of time after it arrived today! I'm very happy!.
As a result, I have ceased to purchase them. br>br>Last month, while visiting my parents in Indiana for Christmas, I was making a salad dressing that included garlic. My mother lacked fresh garlic, but she did have this jar. When I first opened the jar to smell it, I was ecstatic because it smelled so good. This was preferable to using fresh garlic because it had more flavor and didn't have the same bite. I used it in a salad dressing and it turned out great! br>br>This was sent to my mother by her sister, who lives in Morgan Hill, CA, just outside of San Jose. Morgan Hill is close to Gilroy, California, which is known as the world's garlic capital. My aunt gave it to my mother a few years ago, and it was still in perfect condition (my mother is in her mid-eighties and no longer cooks much!). )br>br>I'm overjoyed to have discovered such an amazing product!!.
Garlic with a lot of flavor, and a lot of it. raw cloves from the grocery store have a better flavor than regular raw cloves. But, because it lasts 3 months after opening, I especially recommend it to people who don't use a lot of garlic. Freezing is also more effective than using store-bought ingredients. The improvement in flavor prompted me to purchase it.
It has a fantastic flavor. br>However, I don't expect soybean oil to be listed as the second ingredient in a product labeled "garlic in olive oil. ".
