However, the second ingredient listed is lime, which is overpowering. I can't tell if the chili is fire roasted or not because I can't taste it at all. It had a pickled flavor to it, similar to canned pickles. I'd recommend saving your money and purchasing a can of it instead. I had a version where garlic was the second most important ingredient, and it was incredible, so I've been looking for it ever since. This isn't the case. It tastes like cheap pickled jalapenos with a hint of lime from a movie theater concession stand.
where good green chile is nearly impossible to come by. Thankfully, a friend suggested that we check out the 'Zon, and here we are. Medium is quite spicy, but oh so delicious! And, believe me when I say this: Even Ace Ventura couldn't have harmed these jars because they were so well packed. The medium chiles have already been roasted and are ready to use in this product. They're in almost everything I make: potatoes scalloped, potato salad, eggs, meat and fish sauce I'm sure I could go on for a long time. This is an excellent item.

It stings a little in the wallet at first, but once it hits your green chile hole, you quickly forget about it. The glass jars were safely packaged with a Styrofoam divider to protect them from breakage. I was immediately impressed by the lack of over- or under-packaging. And the flavor is fantastic. If you don't have any homemade chili peppers on hand, these smoked chili peppers are a good substitute. I'd prefer a stronger smoke flavor and larger pieces, but aside from that, they're fantastic!.

After spending time in New Mexico, one of the things I miss the most is being able to eat Hatch green chiles. If you don't have access to fresh roasted coffee, I can confidently say that this product is as close as you'll get. About two jars per week are consumed by me. Perfection in every way.
