I've ordered the whole green chiles three times in a row. It was not only the seeds that drove me to stop buying the diced chiles, but the can had those black teeny pieces of burned outer layers.

Although I used them six months past their expiration dates and they were fine, I did not worry about that.

The can of green chiles I received arrived with a 2 inch gash which allowed the contents to leak out or dry up. I would love to review its contents, but alas, this can arrived with a 2 inch tear. This dish was infused with a delicious aroma of green chilies, but I was sorry I smelled it since I longed for what might We serve tasty enchiladas as well as a nice green chile omelet. There will never be any way of knowing what this (not so) mighty little can could have done. But if this quarantine lasts, I might just boil the cardboard box where the leak occurred and make a green chile soup out of it.
These peppers are mild and have a good flavor and texture, but they arrived in smashed cans (trying to post picture, but it won't let me). In my shipment's shipping bag, the can wasn't damaged in any way, so it was most probably smashed before it was ever packed. The flavor of green chilis gets a 4/5 overall It was not a positive rating for the Amazon Fresh shopper who placed the damaged can on my.
In the packaging, "Product of Peru" is now clearly labelled. The soil and its properties A great deal depends on the climate for the quality of products. In a similar way to wine, I plan to start buying one of the brands that canned "Hatch" chiles from New Mexico. In the event that you can't find fresh roasted chile Ortega or similar will satisfy the craving. In spite of this, I have noticed a decline in product quality recently (I have been a consumer for over forty years now). Despite the fact that it is labeled as "mushy," the product is not crisp to the bite. On the can, only the distributor's name is listed, not the country of origin. Can you tell me where the chiles come from and how they're made? It is in Oxnard, CA (in the past). As a result of this packaging loophole, B&T is at a disadvantage Resolution is possible and should be attempted by G.
One can was opened, I held it up to my nose, opened a couple more cans, and I must have bought about five cans. There you go! My sinuses are no longer a problem. It was a bit worried that they would be too spicy, but they were not. I would definitely buy from this retailer Customers asking about the expiration date on Amazon seem to confuse the terms "expiration or use by date" with "best by date. ". They are two different things in my opinion. I have used items two or three years beyond the "best by date" You shouldn't do that if the manufacturer provided only a safe to use by date. I have used items at their peak flavor all through the years far beyond the "best by date".
There is no information on how the contents are processed It might be the tough pepper "skin" but there are just too many big pieces There is one can with a lot of pieces I have to pick through before adding to salads, soups, etc. It's not every can, but enough that I am thinking about buying a different one.
I approve. I found the price at this store to be cheaper than at local supermarkets. Our house is a staple of this tasty dish. Combining it with pork recipes or adding it to omelettes is among the many ways I use it. The tortillas made by Ortega are excellent Green chile products in cans have a delicious taste. The price for this is great and I'll shop here again for as long as needed.
Having said that, it is hot, but it isn't When you want to taste the flavor of New Mexico, try ordering Ortega Green Chilies diced in New Mexico.
I understand that canned food does not always maintain their original flavor because I am familiar with the preservation process and I know that not all foods stand up well to it. But even with that in mind, I was still disappointed with this product. It has virtually no flavor at all, and that includes the When I bought this to add a little kick to my food, it added a lot of soggy mass instead of adding much punch. I was not impressed but it was also not the worst food experience of my life.
