Mines are due to be decommissioned on October 27, 2022.
I'm not sure about the health benefits; we simply enjoy them in our many Mexican dishes.
There is an expiration date on the cans. I bought it about a year and a half ago. By August 19th, 2018, is the best date.
I'm not sure because I've never taken advantage of those advance purchase offers. Something is bound to go wrong eventually- Usually, I get something I don't need or I run out of something sooner than expected.

The majority of the cans were dented when they arrived. Take a look at the images. We are unable to consume them. Search for "eating food from dented cans" on Google. The seams have been dented as well. You can't eat these, according to Amazon management! If you picked up a dented can at the store, you'd look around for a can that wasn't dented. You are aware of this! That is something Amazon employees are well aware of. We live in the state of Alaska. We can't get a different can by driving down the street or to the next town because there aren't any roads that go there. Some of our food is procured in this manner. Sending them back isn't feasible because I'd want to package them MUCH BETTER than they did, they're heavy, and I'd have to buy Styrofoam to line the box so they're protected on the way back; I don't want them to bust open in transit. They won't be able to sell them when they return to Amazon because they're garbage. I'm hoping that everyone will take the time to read it.
Each can contains an endless supply of hard stems. I bought a case of 24 and on the first one, I cut my gums when a hard stem jabbed my gum. I was in so much pain for a month due to the pandemic that it was difficult to get an antibiotics appointment. Every can, it turned out, had chopped up stems mixed in with these things! Now I eat this stuff with caution because I can't always pick out all of the stem parts, and doing so is a pain. The stems range in size from teeny-tiny to full, rock-hard stems. I used to love these, but with the pandemic, so many businesses are cutting corners in all areas, and quality control is one of them. I should have gotten a refund, but I was more concerned about the infection I was getting from the cut at the time. So, be safe and inspect these cans; hopefully, they aren't as bad as mine, which had each can full of them chopped up into tiny pieces or with full stems. I like to put these in rice, but I mistook them for broccoli pieces because my eyesight isn't great right now.
For a long time, I've used this product to make Chili Rellenos casserole dishes. They never fail to deliver. Unfortunately, our local stores do not always stock this size container. I've been told that the Poblano or Anaheim chilies should be purchased fresh. I used to roast them myself, but it's a lot of work when the "Ortega" chilies are so good. When I serve them to friends, I always get a positive response. I was also delighted that they arrived so quickly after I placed my order. This product is one that I would enthusiastically recommend.
One can almost fill a quarter-liter bottle with its contents. mason jar with a pint capacity We eat a lot of jalapenos in our house, in chilis, nachos, Spanish omelets, and other dishes, and I'm tired of dicing the sliced ones from the store. I knew I had to order this pack of 24 small cans of diced jalapenos for our pandemic pantry as soon as I saw it. It wouldn't do in our house if we ran out of jalapenos, and I love that these are already diced. It's simple to pop open another can and dump it into the jar when we finish our small mason jar, and I don't have to worry about a large jar taking up a lot of fridge space.
We use these chilies for a variety of dishes. It doesn't get any easier than having them already roasted and peeled! (I've got a new low-cost option for you!) Stuffing these chilies with cheese and lightly coating them in enchillada sauce makes for a quick and easy meal. ) I'm no longer able to purchase these locally.
I was disappointed because I had purchased enough to last me several months and it was almost out of date. The good news is that I was able to share them with some family and friends who enjoyed them as well. Without more information about the products they may be selling, I will not trust this seller again.
We ordered a case of whole green chilis because we enjoy them so much. This is fantastic. After four months, I'd like to order another case of 12 for $31. 79 more. This is incredible. What the hell is going on? Come on, Amazon, be a little ridiculous.
