I paid more than $10 for a single can? I was shocked when I realized I had ordered three cans for $11. These are, without a doubt, excellent, and I purchase them on a regular basis - but?.
In Texas, I can get this product for a lot less than Amazon charges.
I was under the impression that I was purchasing four cans. That'll teach me not to shop for groceries on Amazon when I'm in a hurry.
This brand is mushy, more akin to a sauce than diced chilies as stated on the label.
While I prefer freshly roasted chilies, Hatch brand diced chilies are my preferred brand of diced chile because their flavor profile is superior and the heat is slightly higher than other canned chilies. I am a huge fan of this product and always have one on hand in my pantry.
These are the chilies I use to make my green chili. Because the heat level of the hot ones can vary, I usually use one mild and one hot, as well as a jalapeno or serrano pepper.
These are my preferred brand over a generic brand because they are spicier and more flavorful. In soups, posole, rice, and other dishes, I use them. meats. The possibilities are endless.
