Friends of mine from Wisconsin are fond of "squeaky" cheeses. Their residence has now changed to Reno, so they are unable to access I order them these cheese curds about once a month as a little treat for them. "Squeaky" curds are a hit among the children and they rave about how delicious they are. Their first move is to open them and start munching right away. There is a claim that they are fresh always. The first one I attempted was opened immediately out of excitement. There is no chewy "squeaky" texture to these, which makes them not true cheese curds at all. They are basically chopped up cheddar cheese, and not even very good cheddar cheese. Sorry to hear that!.
