Red Vines Made Simple Licorice Twists, 4oz Tray  (9 Pack), Mixed Berry Flavor, Soft & Chewy Candy

I've been a vegan for the past six years. I discovered that a lot of candy contained ingredients that were harmful to my health. As a result, I began my search for a more nutritious candy. It was impossible for me to find licorice that tasted exactly like Red Vines. I came across these in a nearby store one day. I couldn't believe it! They tasted exactly like the original Red Vines, but without all of the extraneous and unhealthy ingredients. I went to Amazon right away and placed an order for this set. I appreciate the company's decision to make these healthier. My sweet tooth is still satisfied by them.

Fast forward more than 15 years, and I've tried pretty much every 'natural' licorice I could find over the years. They were almost all delicious, but most of them came in denser chunks with their own distinct flavor, rather than the true red licorice flavor I was hoping for. But, wow. br>br> This stuff is incredible. They have a slightly softer texture and aren't as brightly colored as the classic Red Vine twists, but neither of these things bother me. The flavor, on the other hand, is exactly as I recall. You can even make licorice straws out of them, which my kids and I loved.

What else can I say about this except that it is five stars in my opinion, and it is unquestionably superior to the other artificial versions of these. I'm not sure why they don't promote it more, but I'm glad I found them because this is my new favorite Red Vines flavor.

When I found these red vines on a grocery store clearance rack a few years ago, they quickly became my favorite. Since then, I've only been able to find them on clearance racks. That is, until they were discovered by others, after which I have been unable to locate them. As a result, over the years, I've encountered the packages in various states of "freshness. " This order was well packaged and has the flavor I like, but they're a little worn and a little tougher to chew because they're a little older. They'd make a wonderful present - Receiving a full box of one's preferred candy appears to be impressive. However, I'm glad I ordered these for myself rather than as a gift, as old candy would be a letdown.

I bought these for a road trip with friends, and all seven of us agreed that they were superior to the regular Red Vines we all grew up with. These are the best licorice twist treats out there because they don't contain corn syrup and have a simple natural ingredient list. I'd never go back to the traditional waxy plasticy version after tasting these.

The flavor is acceptable, and the packaging is superior to twizzlers, but chewing these could break your jaw. I've never had them before, so I'm not sure what to expect, but I'm not going to buy them again. They are extremely damaging to the teeth and jaws. I'm going to give them away or toss them out in the end.

I've missed some of my old favorite treats, such as red vines, since swearing off artificial dyes years ago. I used to look at them in the candy aisle with adoration for years. But not any longer! Granted, it's been at least 8 years since I've had one, but these are exactly the same as I recall. And that's before I account for the romanticization of the flavor in my mind. Thank you very much! I was even able to share my joy with my children, who had never had the pleasure of tasting Redvines before.

I had my doubts about the packaging at first. I originally thought it would be better to buy them in a tub, but the individual packs kept them fresher for longer, and I didn't eat them all until I was sick. I prefer these to the original Red Vines, which were already a favorite snack of mine. With these, there's nothing to be upset about. love em!.
