It was given to me as a present. So I didn't notice the packaging or the number of items in the box. br>Given that the information says 16 oz and a pack of 12 - 8 IBs probably means 8 pounds of licorice. 12 pounds is the correct weight. Is there a mistake somewhere?
According to the canister, the United States of America is the best country in the world.

If you have a history of heart disease, you should exercise extra caution. Glycyrrhizin is a substance found in black licorice. The FDA warns that consuming 2 oz of this ingredient every day for two weeks if you are over 40 and have some form of heart disease can result in arrhythmia or death. It also causes an increase in blood pressure. I was just in the hospital for three days because I ate too much black licorice, which also has diarrhea as a side effect. It also contains a surprising amount of sodium, so be cautious.
There are 100 calories in three pieces, which are about 6 inches long, which is shorter than I remember going to the penny store with a dime to buy candy when I was a kid. Again, the flavor was excellent and the product was extremely fresh; the only improvement I would make would be to include a seal at the top of the bag, rather than relying on me to seal in the freshness with a clothes pin; however, there is no need to tamper with perfection.
I used to buy this at the store every now and then, but for some reason, they discontinued it and replaced it with another brand. The other brand isn't as shiny as these and has a completely different texture when you bite into it. I have to be careful and limit myself to a few pieces before folding the bag end over to keep the rest moist until I allow myself a few more, a few more, and a few more until the bag is empty. I'm a fan of the re-purposed bags. These bags are not closeable. So, licorice is something I despise. Yuck. If it's possible, I'm not going to touch it. MY MOTHER, ON THE OTHER HAND- The stuff is a big hit with the law. She is currently residing in an assisted living facility and is experiencing mobility issues, making it difficult for her to leave the facility on a regular basis. I bought this box of Twizzlers Licorice Nibs and bring one bag with me every time I visit her. She beams from ear to ear with a six-pack of Dr. Pepper, a few of these, and a roll of quarters. br>br>Highly recommended if you enjoy nastiness or are trying to be nice to your mother-in-law-in-law-in-law-in-law in-law-in-law-in-law-in-law-in-law-in-law-in-law law.
To display them, I bought a straw dispenser. It does a decent job. The licorice is a tad too soft to hold its shape perfectly. If the licorice was a little stale and stiff, it would work better in the dispenser. chewy, but unfortunately, the Amazon Subscribe Save is delivering high-quality products that haven't had time to clump together like the last bag I bought at Kroger. This is the way to go if you want a fresh, high-quality product delivered to your front door. You can try opening the bags and letting them sit out for a few weeks if you want dried out, stiff licorice, but if you can't wait, you can buy them at the supermarket.

I'm the only one who enjoys them, and the rest of my family accuses me of purchasing them solely for the purpose of not eating them. They have a delicious flavor. They were delivered promptly and in good condition. It's nice and light. It'll be a year before it expires. It's an excellent value for the money. When my current supply runs out, I'll place another order. It's fortunate for me that it's the only candy that the kids/grandkids won't touch, so they'll last me a long time.
They aren't, and the flavor isn't the same as the Twisler long pieces, which is a bit surprising. I went to my local Walgreens and purchased two packages of long licorice. br>Sorry for the negative review; I adore Twisler licorice, but these small cut pieces did not live up to the long ones. br>Gerald Roper.
I got sick from it. I had a relapse of a spider bite that had healed in May due to the Red 40 and Blue 1 colorings! Carcinogens and neurotoxins are evidently terms used to describe them. I probably ate too much too fast, but there are plenty of great black licorices out there that don't contain these toxins, so I'll be looking elsewhere in the future. I ended up discarding seven of the twelve bags because they were so difficult to resist that I needed to get rid of them! Even so, it's a good buy. They have a pleasant, strong flavor.
