These do not contain flour, as far as I know. It gets its salty flavor from ammonium chloride, which may sound disgusting, but I grew up eating salted licorice and loved it!
It has a good balance of sweetness and salmiakki. It's just sugar on the outside, but it's a great choice if you want a perfect balance of sweet and salty.
Gluten is present in it. I'm not sure if Heksehyl is vegan because of this. They eat only vegetarian food.
Denmark is depicted in my package. I believe I had some that showed Holland, but it makes no difference to me because they are incredible.

That's who I am. I've been buying salty black licorice fish from a local candy store (well, in Branson) and I'm completely addicted to them. Naturally, I turned to Amazon to see what they had to offer. I came across these and think they're fantastic. They're not quite as salty as I expected, but they have a great texture and flavor; unfortunately, they appear to be out of stock, so I won't be able to order more.
It was delicious. My uncle died a while ago, so there isn't as much salmiak as I'd like. He used to get these small triangular licorice candies in a small tin every time he went to the store. The flavor of licorice is extremely strong. I was one of the few members of the family who shared his enthusiasm for them. And I only recently discovered that the salty flavor was salmiak. For months, I've been on the hunt for that candy. These are delicious! But it wasn't exactly what I needed. They're a lot less expensive than some of the other candies I got. They are well worth the money if you enjoy black licorice. More salmiak is all I need.
I've tried a lot of licorice candies from all over the world, and this one is by far the best!! When you first bite into it, it has an unusual flavor that is unlike any other licorice I've tried, but I quickly warmed up to it and am now amazed at how delicious it is. I eat a two-course meal most of the time. In the evening, while reading (Gustaf, Salt Dusted Licorice Starfish), 4 licorice starfish (Gustaf, Salt Dusted Licorice Starfish) ) My other favorites are the Fazer Original Tyrkisk Peber and the Fazer Original Tyrkisk Peber. I also enjoy the double salt coins and almost any other non-anise licorice candy (by which I mean real licorice candy, not the nasty fruity flavored crap sold as licorice in the United States). So, after receiving one bag four days ago, I've placed an order for four more! This candy is incredible! My only criticism is that it could use a little more ammonia, but what it lacks in ammonia it more than makes up for with a fantastic licorice flavor!!.
I'd been craving it recently and decided to pick it up on the spur of the moment. It cost a little more than I usually pay for candy, but I'm glad I bought it. It tasted fantastic. If you're not used to this type of licorice, be aware that it has a different flavor than you're used to. The flavor of the salmiak is unique, and I enjoyed it.
I was hesitant to send edible items, such as this licorice I ordered from Amazon, by mail, but everything worked out fine, and the food package was sealed on all sides, so it appeared to be safe. With all the talk of different people's looks, it's likely that when I say black, I'm referring to complexions. In this case, I'm looking at a black, brown licorice candy rather than a complexion. Black licorice, in my experience, is made magnificent by both German and Dutch market places. Probably, there are varieties of black licorice in all shapes, sizes, and characters, from all over the world, but the Dutch and German markets have such fun ones that almost anyone would scream. If you like sour, squishy, salty licorice, this particular variety I bought on Amazon is well worth it. Licorice is a candy with some sugar, but it is also an herb that can help with digestion in moderation. The only issue I found with this licorice that was edible was: There was insufficient Pingvin Tom Heksehyl Zoute salmiak staafjes, and I will most likely order more.
You're either going to like them or you're going to despise them. They are something I adore. The licorice flavor is irresistible, and the salt content is just right (not too salty). They are only difficult to stop eating because they are so tasty. So, you've been forewarned. If you've never tried salted licorice before, start with a small bag to get a taste of it. If you like salted licorice, this is the recipe for you.
I had never tasted sweet licorice before, but they were delicious! They're easy to chew and don't leave any residue on my teeth. The only thing that bothered me was a slight aftertaste after eating several of them in a row. Maybe it's the filling in the salmiak? Ammonium chloride is listed as a Selmiak filling ingredient; I'm not sure what that is, but it could be the problem. br>I'm going to order the other flavor.
It's ridiculous. I've ordered this a few times, but the current price is more than twice as much as it's worth. Why is a small bag of licorice costing so much more?.
