Is this a third-party controller or an official controller?

This is a controller from the first party.

I'm not sure which controller to go with. Is it better to go for a glossy black or a matte black?

Matte black is popular, but glossy black is also effective; however, both are equally effective. Choose one. I have a camo control that I enjoy using.

We're all familiar with and fond of this gaming device
5/5

This device was purchased many years ago and is still in use today. It's held up surprisingly well over time; the sticks have become less responsive, but I'd expect a third-party controller to have failed multiple times by now. When it was in its prime- Nothing could compare to it in terms of feel and functionality on a given day. The Xbox 360's time has come to an end, but if I needed one for PC gaming, I'd buy another one.

Great price, good performance, but the battery capacity is a little limited
5/5

My old controller's buttons were dying, so I bought this one to replace them. It works as it should and arrived sooner than I expected. All of the buttons are new and make a pleasant clicking sound when pressed. I did have to use the back of my old controller for the batteries, as this one was extra tight and wouldn't let go of the batteries, requiring the use of a tool to remove them.

For large hands, it's a little too small, but it's solid
4/5

There is one minor flaw in the design. For the few years I had my 360 (before selling it), I used this. It worked just as well as the one that came with the console and lasted the duration of my ownership. There are no issues whatsoever. br>br>With the Xbox 360 controller, I had two issues. One of them is minor, while the other is significant. br>br>The only minor issue I had with the controller was that it felt a little too small in my hands. I'm 6'5", so I'm well aware that I'm taller than the "average" person *everywhere*. That's fine; after a few hours of gaming, it's not particularly comfortable, so if that bothers you, you might want to look into a larger aftermarket controller from MadCatz or someone similar. br>br>The more serious problem is the D-. Pad. I play a lot of fighting games, and you can't play them with the analog stick. The D- Pad is one of the worst-designed products I've ever seen. If you're looking for a gamepad with a good D-pad, based on my experience and what my friends have said, this is the one to get. The official Xbox 360 pad simply does not compare. Instead, look for one of the MadCatz ones and get that.

CONTROLLER IN PERFECT CONDITION
5/5

Takes a licking and continues to TICK! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! This is for my 7-year-old son, and I bought it for him. This is his first wired controller, so it's a big deal for him. He's used four wired controllers in the past. I'm not making this up. between two and four months (Controllers for Rock Candy) I wasn't going to give this rough and tough kid any more money. As a result, this was my final option. and OHHHH BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY THIS IS A GREAT BUY FOR US. It works perfectly and has even been dropped and thrown by his 2-year-old sister on several occasions. (on a carpeted floor, of course) and it's still going strong! However, I'm considering purchasing a second one so that we can have two and he can play other games with his siblings. I'm going to give it a few more months to see how well it holds up! This is a fantastic wireless Xbox 360 controller that I highly recommend to anyone looking for one! (Products that have been tried and tested) Reviews that are completely truthful).

One of the most advanced controllers ever created
5/5

I bought a second Xbox controller so that I can play Gears of War 2 in co-op mode. op story mode is a mode where you can play as a character in The controller is smooth and responsive, and you can't go wrong with it. I chose the black controller over the white because I think it looks better. The best part about the controller is that you can use it to turn on the system, navigate to the dashboard, select songs from the controller, and change the profile whenever you want. This controller is comfortable and nice to hold, and it's very nice to the casual gamer as well as the hardcore gamer. The only thing I didn't like about it was when I ran out of battery, so I just bought the Play and Charge kit, which charges the controller when plugged in at the usb port. Advantages: br>br> Wireless, rechargeable with play and charge or rechargeable battery, nice button rearrangement, turn off console with center button, goes to music, on-the-go br>br>Cons: Line play and other with the center buttonbr>br> Aside from a battery that runs out slowly, there aren't many options.

Also works well with your computer
5/5

If you have an Xbox, this is a no-brainer. There's not much more to say than get a wireless controller if you don't have one already. Things get a little more interesting if you only own a PC or, like me, play games on both your PC and your Xbox 360. Using a 360 controller in conjunction with the Xbox Wireless Receiver for Windows is something I strongly recommend. This thing has a great range and can break down walls. Perfect reception can be achieved by hiding the receiver behind your monitor, under your desk, or in a drawer. In a Games For Windows title, all buttons automatically work like they would on the 360, no muss, no fuss. Hitting the Guide button even pops up the Windows Live overlay if you're playing a game that supports it, like Fallout 3 or GTA 4 (normally, the Guide button just gives you the option to turn off the controller). br>br>A third-party profiler app, such as XPadder (free), can also be installed to bind keystrokes and mouse movements to the controller. This allows me to watch a movie on my PC while sitting on the couch and controlling it with the controller's play/pause/ff/rewind, etc. Using this controller with xpadder has been a breeze for me. br>br>If you enjoy emulating old games on your computer (nes/snes/n64/etc), the controller's large number of buttons allows you to map it to almost any retro console controller you can think of. br>br>As for the controller's merits, there are plenty of reviews here praising its comfort, feel, and reliability while criticizing the D-pad. So I'm not going to go over any of that with you, Pad. br>br>Summary: br>br> br> This is by far the most comfortable and reliable controller I've ever used. br> Wireless, long range, and a good Amazon price. br> Long battery life and automatic charging feature to turn off br> This is a fantastic game. With few to no headaches or installations, app support is available.

- Although the pad is nearly useless in most games, it does make a difference in a few, such as fighting games.
- If you're running 64-bit Windows, it can be difficult to locate the correct wireless receiver driver. It's a bit Vista, but if you look hard enough, you'll find it. edit: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br br>Works perfectly in Windows 7 x64 without the need to look for a driver! br>The D- is a letter that starts with a D and ends with a D Following these instructions will help you improve your pad: ] I tried it on one of my controllers and can confirm that it works great and feels a lot better, but be careful because you'll be voiding your warranty and potentially damaging your controller.
