It doesn't work like that. It includes a battery case in which you can store aa batteries.
If you don't have a rechargeable battery backup, you won't be able to use it. If you're only using AA batteries, there's no need to worry about it.
You'll need to purchase additional hardware (a USB charger), but all original Microsoft controllers are equipped with this feature. I'm not sure what the generic versions are like. Also, stay away from refurbished remotes if at all possible. I purchased one, but after a week, the buttons became stuck. And I wasn't even playing Street Fighter at the time.

This item has not been refurbished. It's barely functional. The controller was filthy and had been used. It was packaged in a clear plastic bag with a bar code sticker. The buttons were stuck together, and the left analog stick barely worked. I cleaned the controller and the area around the buttons of a lot of dirt. After a little preparation with 91% rubbing alcohol and some quick quick quick quick quick quick quick quick quick quick quick quick I was able to make the analog stick work properly thanks to your suggestions. br>br>This controller was in bad shape when compared to any other used controller from the local game store. It was, however, about the same price. br>br>I was going to ignore everything because I finally got it to work, but after being nagged twice by email for a review, I'm going to rate the product and write this.
I ordered two of these with the understanding that because they were refurbished, there might be some minor wear and tear. When they arrived, one of the buttons was stuck, but after some tinkering, it was able to get it to work. br>On the second, the right joystick refused to work and was sunk into the controller like it had been "refurbished" with a hammer. The left joystick wouldn't even return to its original position. The second controller was clearly never "refurbished," tested, or subjected to any kind of quality control before being tossed into a box and shipped. br>Now it's up to me to figure out how to get the second controller back.
This item came with a battery pack charger (with two batteries) and a dongle to connect it to my computer so I could play Steam games. br>When I received this item today, I knew I was taking a chance ordering refurb (my father is a refurb fanatic, so I figured I'd give it a shot)br>I opened the package and was excited; the controller looks brand new, with no scrapes or anything, but as I got the whole set up working, I noticed it kept disconnecting and stating the battery was low, even after I replaced the batteries completely. I'm going to give it a little more time to see if I can get it to connect, but I'll probably return it tomorrow and get a new one for $3. 00 more. It was a real bummer that it didn't work out.
An X Box controller can help with a lot of PC games (e. g. , Fall Guy, Fortnight, and Rocket League). So much so that I stopped playing these games because playing with a mouse and keyboard gives us guys an unfair advantage. This item arrived quickly and was simple to set up. Simply connect your device to your computer via Bluetooth and begin playing the games you used to spend hours playing. Despite the fact that this item has been renewed, it functions as if it were brand new. Don't hold off on making a purchase.
br>When I first received the product, I tried it out and discovered that it did not work. I assumed it was a problem with the batteries, so I replaced them. It didn't work out in the end. br>Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the metal piece where the batteries came into contact with each other was corroded, just like the one I had. So it appears that this is a common problem with this controller over time, and I'm disappointed that the seller didn't check this before sending it to me. I did, however, pay full price for this item.
Aside from the fact that it wasn't in its original packaging, there were no indications that it was a refurbished product. It was immaculately clean, as if it had never been used before. It included new Duracell AA batteries, as well as an instruction manual and a battery compartment. Everything appeared to be in order when I turned on the controller; It would, however, never connect to the internet via wireless. My other wireless controllers connect to the internet without a hitch. I gave it about 20 tries before sitting down at my computer and filing a return. I'm no longer interested in purchasing refurbished items. In the last month, I've purchased two refurbs (one was a sound bar) and both have proven to be duds; it's simply not worth the hassle. You have been forewarned of this danger.
The two controllers initially worked flawlessly, but after about two months, issues began. Even with new batteries, they would lose sink with the Xbox at first. When my sons were playing together, half of the controls would stop working or move the other player, causing conflict. After doing some research, I discovered that updating the controllers would resolve the issue. One controller was able to be updated, but the other could not. Finally, because neither of my sons wanted to deal with the wireless controllers, I purchased two hardwired controllers. They came to the conclusion that the one working wireless controller could be used by a friend who came over to play Xbox with them. So I give them a 50% chance of working as 50% well as 50% well as 50% well as 50% well as 50% well as 50% well as well as well It is entirely up to you whether or not you wish to take that risk.
"Factory Refurbished" is written on the product. It was not the case. It came with a smashed-down analog stick and no spring feedback. Unusable in every way. This controller has never been serviced or repaired. It was broken and left untouched.
