This is what I'm using with our Xbox 360 Kinect; all I have to do now is update the console and change the settings. I was fed up with having to replace batteries in the wireless one, which had stopped working after the batteries exploded.
Instead, go for a less expensive controller. First and foremost, I'd like to state that I purchased this controller for the Xbox 360, so I can't comment on how it performs as a gamepad for a PC. As a result, I strongly advise against purchasing this controller for either the Xbox 360 or Xbox One. br>br>I paid $28 for this controller at the time of purchase. Other, less expensive controllers were available on Amazon, but I decided to take a chance and pay a little more in the hopes of getting a better controller. Unfortunately, the controller's quality did not meet my expectations. The fact that the analog stick deadzones are so large is my biggest gripe with this controller. The change from no movement to slight movement to full-on movement is too abrupt to become accustomed to. Precise movement, such as aiming in first-person and third-person shooters, is tedious and awkward to execute. It feels like I'm constantly learning how to aim with a mouse or analog stick for the first time, and it'll probably stay that way as long as the large deadzones prevent muscle memory. br>br>If the deadzone had been the only issue, I would have given this controller three stars. However, I quickly discovered that my Turtle Beach X41 microphone is not compatible with this controller. The microphone on the headset works fine with my PS4 and another 360 controller I own, so the issue is with this one. I can't speak for the rest of the plug-ins. It worked with some microphones, but not with mine. br>br>As of today, the controller is $32. For the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, my recommendation is to look for a less expensive controller. You will be dissatisfied with the size of the deadzones on this controller, and you will most likely experience the same sensitivity with a less expensive controller. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST USING THIS CONTROLLER IN ONLINE COMPETITIVE PLAY. For single-player games, you're better off getting a cheaper controller. br>br>The rumble feature (which felt a little weak) and the design are the only reasons to spend a little more money on this controller. This controller is solid and has the same feel as the original Microsoft 360 controller, but that's about it.
I would not recommend or waste money on anything that is not officially licensed or manufactured by Microsoft; instead, get a Steel Series controller because it is money well spent. This controller feels cheap, lighter, the plastic feels less refined, the buttons are more spongy than an actual Xbox controller, and the wire harness jacket is of lower build quality, and will most likely split/break down much sooner than an actual or license-built controller. How did I figure that out? I make a living repairing aircraft wiring harnesses.
We watch movies on our Xbox 360. We had to order a new controller because the old one had broken. It's a vast improvement over the previous one. Thanks!.
After a lot of use, it's time to throw it out. JUNK is a word that comes to mind when I think of a piece of After only a day of use, the right trigger began to malfunction. When I wasn't hitting the right trigger, the games would act as if I was. BUYING THIS GARBAGE IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. For a day or two, maybe two, it's great, but after that, it's useless.
It died on April 15, 2021, after I bought it on November 27, 2020. Any movement of the cord causes it to disconnect, and I am a very light controller user. I'm not going to smash it, throw it, or rage over it. I'm a responsible, non-judgemental individual. Adult gamer who is toxic. br>br>This was a very disappointing purchase, and I strongly advise you to avoid it.
When I press the silver middle button on some off brands, my console does not turn on, but it does on this one. Because I play a lot of Mortal Kombat, the left analog stick gets a lot of use, but it's still in excellent condition. Very quick to respond.
This was a gift for a friend who couldn't order things online, and he said it was "Wonderful. " It has been in use as his only controller for some time and is still working 100%.
