A friend of mine bought one of these Dec '17 and YES, it does strip HDCP from cable boxes. Initially, the program did not do anything I had a blue screen of death on my Hauppage PVR 2 even when I had an HDCP-compliant television plugged in to the second Then I switched the two output cables, and it began to work again! Once I switched them back, it worked as well! I understand this is a little flaky, but what the heck.
If you have a Roku, a PS4 or cable box, this will bypass the HDPC. Also, Elgato game capture HD and HD60 S can be used to record games. Two View HD 1x2 splitters with two Elgato game captures are currently in use.
As long as both displays are capable of supporting the same video signal from that PC, then both displays will have the same image.

It would not validate the signal because I had to connect an older system with it.
As long as Amazon continues to mash up reviews for products of "similar" quality, the entire review process, especially the star ratings, will suffer. An example of what these consequences look like is shown by this splitter. Reviewers say theirs arrived as a piece of junk that was overpriced and made out of plastic. A number of people claim to have received a quality splitter that performs exactly as advertised in a metal housing. How can we know whom to trust? I would say both, since reviews for the knockoff are positive AND negative Those for genuine and fake items have been arbitrarily mixed together. For what it's worth, the splitter I received was the one I was looking for The unit has a metal housing and splits HDMI version 1. There is no visible change in the video or audio of 4 perfectly. If it is not ventilated, it might get a little hot, but I use auxiliary fans to cool everything in the cabinet, so heat is not a problem. When it comes to my A/V gear, I am hard to please, and I am getting less tolerant of BS as I get older, but I am very pleased This will allow me to enjoy my existing 1080p components for a couple of years before upgrading to 4K once the prices come down to a more reasonable level.
There are reviews that state it can, and there are ones that state it cannot, but it definitely does. My attempts to strip the HDCP so I could stream PS3 games had failed. I had tried a variety (roughly 4) of different products and none of them Thank you for working on this one. I'm 100% satisfied with the result. My intention isn't even to use it as a Due to the fact that I only have one output, the filter is actually an inline filter which removes In terms of picture quality or slowdown, there is no noticeable impact. The software does what I need it to do.
It worked exactly as I needed it to. Since my four year old HDTV suddenly stopped displaying any video and warned that I was violating copywrite, I used this to strip away some type of encoding I didn't understand because my TV had been ready to display pictures from my cable box for years until the whole thing went wrong. Neither I nor the rest of the team knows what happened. As you can see, I did not attempt to hack anything or work around any system, but my TV suddenly became essentially useless and I had to reinstall the cable box. However, after installing this splitter from my cable box to my TV, my TV works as well as it used to. The purpose of this is not to suggest using anything incorrectly or to violate any copyright laws. It appears that either my TV (a Mitsubishi) or my cable company received their signals incorrectly and this splitter treated this issue. Keeping these two points in mind is imperative. A few things to keep in mind about it are that it does require a power source (power cord included), and that it has an extremely bright neon blue light when it is engaged. You should therefore position the TV well when watching it in a dark environment or consider covering it with black tape if you want to.
Worked for me. Worked for me. After ordering a number of gadgets, I finally decide to choose one that does exactly what it claims to In short, yes. In fact, it does strip HDCP, and I can attest to the fact if I make a video of it. In my house I have an older digital light projection (DLP) TV, and when I connected my newer upgraded cable box and tried to view anything, a blue screen appeared. In fact, after having the cable guy over to check things out, we determined that the problem was my older TV that would not accept HDCP signal from the cable box. The cable guy even tried installing the cable box on another screen but it still worked fine. This was a very simple process because it stripped the HDCP signal, but I do not have to invest hundreds of dollars to upgrade my 55" TV to a newer one. To my curiosity, I tried plugging my HDMI cable into my new ROKU stick, which also gave me the error message "Unable to play this content", so I plugged the ROKU stick into the HDMI cable and it worked flawlessly. The system worked perfectly as well. In addition, the metal case it comes in looks cool and feels like a quality piece. P. I highly recommend this product. Initially, I set it up as a splitter to add another HDMI input, so you will need to be aware of the inputs and outputs. The purpose of this device is to display an input from a cable box, DVD player, etc. on two TVs. It is possible to use 2 monitors, 4 monitors,.
We were able to solve our HDCP problems with this splitter! It is a 2006 Sony 65" DLP TV that we purchased on Craig's List. We tried to connect the Sony AV video receiver and Application TV to the TV via HDMI cable, but the connections didn't work. Repeatedly every few seconds, the connection would last for a moment, and then disconnect. Following a quick Internet search, we learned that the problem was caused by HDCP protection trying to query our TV in order to prevent piracy of the content. It took us only a few minutes to find that help through In two days we got this package in our hands through Amazon Prime, and I was immediately impressed by the packaging. As well as being heavier than I expected, it fell flat on the ground. Our unit was made of metal and appeared to be very well built. We didn't need to read the instructions that were included in the package. With just a few clicks of the mouse, the HDMI cable had been connected, and we had high quality video without the HDCP issues that we experienced. At this point, I strongly recommend this product. The build quality is excellent, it is well priced, and I have no complaints about it! Please let me know if this helped.
