In the same room, I have two televisions. My computer monitor is not large, so I use the larger television as a computer monitor, and the smaller TV as a computer monitor. When I want to watch television on the large screen, I turn on the large TV. The antennae signal gets split to both TVs if I use a splitter, but when I do, both TVs only receive a weak signal, and I'm not sure how to resolve that problem. A/B switches transmit the full signal to one television at a time, and this solved my problem.

Having the ability to switch satellite antenna sources in my RV was a convenient benefit that I wanted to take advantage of. The receiver is a Dish Playmaker, and it is outdoors. I wanted to not have to switch cables manually, and I wanted to simply push a button. I have a DISH 1000 on the roof, but I also have Dish Playmaker outside. This is doable since it now does what it's supposed to and I can switch sources with ease. In my opinion, there should be redundancy in the antenna system since when a person is hundreds of miles away from home, the loss of the entertainment system would be quite disappointing.

As soon as I received this switch, I was quite surprised at how heavy it was. The book isn't in a bad way but rather simply interesting in the sense that it is an well-written book. It appears the switch has been built robustly as it reflects the construction of the internal cords that isolate the three connections well. The weight of this switch was twice as much as other A/B switches I have purchased in the past. Despite the somewhat unconventional purpose for which I bought it, it works great. Due to various service interruptions I've experienced as a Comcast cable internet subscriber, I have been very frustrated. I had Internet service through cable for many years with not a trace of downtime, but by comparison, there is nothing like the internet service I had through DSL. Since I cut the cable for all service except the internet and returned all equipment including the gateway router, I bought a Netgear router that appears to be the same as that provided by Comcast, but neither has a power switch, and often power must be disconnected to restore service, as well. It's a screwed on connection to the router, and I've got other equipment somewhat on top of it, which makes it difficult to disconnect. Verizon and Time Warner are in a constant turf war to obtain new customers and lose existing ones, so I redone my wiring so switching back and forth would be simple. I really like how easily I was able to connect this and it actually works well. It's quite easy for us to switch between cable and Internet in the home using the same coaxial cable. Ours is mounted next to the coaxial cables that enter our house and we go out in the garage and use B/A buttons to choose which one When you are using the antenna, the image is much clearer than it would be otherwise.
