I am in awe of this product (I have a cable line that begins at a box on the main road in my complex. It then passes through three basements of my neighbors to finally reach my home. There are six coax outlets in use along with TVs, computers, and streaming equipment. The signal started degradation while these devices were in use. Last week, the cable company was here to troubleshoot, but they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Due to the staggering number of cables that ran through splitters, I decided to connect this unit to a powered amplifier. This is the best choice. It's the best! Actually, I do not ever remember, but my picture quality has improved by a noticeable amount since I bought the amplifier! Adding to its quality, it is also incredibly easy to install One of the tricky parts for me was figuring out how to power the unit when there were no nearby outlets. As soon as I had this issue fixed, I spent about five minutes screwing in the ground wire, cables, input cable, and power line (I recommend this model of the product because it came with a special coax cable specifically meant for power instead of conveying information). I decided to try fixing the problem myself after consulting in their store. I replaced our old amplifier with this one, not knowing that the problem could be the amplifier, however nothing else worked so I decided to replace it. In addition to being an easy installation, the product feels sturdy and built to last for years to come. Within seconds of installing the product, ALL of our new X1 equipment started working with no trouble. I wish I'd done this from the beginning if I knew that this was the problem. Trying to get our issue resolved with Comcast support was a huge hassle. They had no idea how to fix it, and said that they wouldn't send a tech out. Thanks to it, we have been able to solve all of the issues we were having with our cable television. The product is a bit heavy, so it's sturdy. The fact that it can be mounted in two different ways is nice Perpendicular to a wall or other piece of wood or flush with a wall surface. The AC adapter on this item did not work, even after I received it. It would slowly fade from illumination to darkness after its LED light was illuminated. A representative from the supplier (Reliable Cable Products) got in touch with me. Through email, they responded immediately and the person was very friendly.
