I usually don't let bad reviews build up, but I am returning it after just five days. After I had my old DISH receiver for years and it started acting up, I did not have any choice, and decided to replace it with a hopper instead of a regular satellite receiver. With all the hype surrounding hopper, it may seem like it can skip all ads, but it does so only for pre-roll ads Recorded prime time programs, which I did not use, because I rarely record prime time, then too the skip forward button works in regular receivers, so I did not really see any benefit in the recorder. There are multiple steps to record programs, making it much less efficient than the recorder on the old receiver. This recording of the programs is in a different and reality, the only benefit of the hopper is its larger hard drive, so for most other tasks it is much more complicated.
