Questions & Answers

The restaurant I work at has six speakers arranged in three separate zones. During operation, can this unit switch between all zones at the same time, or is it limited to 1 zone at a time?

You can play to each zone at the same time with this unit.

Can you tell me what class of amplifier this is? How would you rate class A/B and class D?

I'm here! An amplifier of this class is of class A/B.

With speakers wired in six different rooms, I can listen to music anywhere in the house. What do I do if I want to power and turn on/off rooms with this? Why are the kitchen and living room on during the day, but the dining room off during the night?

All six zones, or 12 channels, share the same power supply and have a common turn-on system The device can be switched on manually (on the front), auto sensing, or from a 12-volt power source The trigger is hard wired (volts). In general, you have a choice of connecting a common source (1 or 2) or an independent source per channel or zone, but you are restricted to the turn-on of a single source When you choose an option, it will apply to In most cases, using in-built would be your best bet You can adjust the volume on the wall.

Which is the mx1260 or the mx1280? Although the title of this product shows a mx1280, the item description and instruction manual refer to a ?

I apologize for the confusion, but the MX1280 is now the replacement for Despite our best efforts, Amazon changes the information back to the old one after our updates.

Additional zones can be amplified well with this amplifier
5/5

A "zone 2" application is what I purchased this amp for Speakers are located on the patio and in the pool separately. There is a great deal of flexibility in the configuration of the amp. I powered six speakers each with a high power output with my system, so I could power up to six separate stereo outputs (12 speakers total) or bridge each channel and power six speakers with a single high power output. It is important to keep in mind that the speaker impedance for bridged mode must be 8 ohms or greater. As well as the input flexibility, the output flexibility is excellent. Additionally, six stereo channels each have their own individual inputs. Each bus input is also separate from the stereo channel inputs. There are several channels available each can be chosen individually If you want a dedicated line for a particular channel, you can take bus A, bus B, or both. Moreover, each channel has its own gain control, so the volume of each channel can be adjusted individually, ensuring a perfect balance between the stereo pairs. It comes with six speakers total in my case, with three stereo pairs. Afterwards, I assigned the six bridged channels along with Bus B and Bus A alternatingly In this example, I connected channels 1 and 2 to Bus A, and channel 3 to Bus B, and used these to power left and right speakers. Using this arrangement, I had three stereo pairs going to different areas on my patio and pool, with each output set to its own volume level. Crisp and clear sound quality can be heard throughout the program. With this amp, I am confident that I can pair it with audiophile-grade speakers, as well as good ceiling mount and outdoor enclosures, as well as with It may not be the most powerful processor around, but the power it provides is more than enough for my application. One complaint I have is that the auto-correct feature doe not work automatically on my computer The voice-on feature requires a high level of input to work. In my receiver, I have to turn the zone 2 volume up to about -180 dB whenever I want it to work. I have to increase the zone 2 volume by 20db to force the amp to turn on, and then decrease it back again The amp's signal will be more robust than if the sensitivity was too low, and it would come on when it wasn't suppose A driver's manual is available online A perfect workaround is to turn off the feature. If the amp is not in use for a few minutes, it goes into standby mode. As well as the build quality, there are many other highlights. For sure, it has some weight to it. In general, I am very satisfied with this amplifier and would highly recommend it to others who need a similar multi-channel amplifier. There are a number of applications zoned.

This is a great way to power your Sonos system
5/5

It was exactly what I was looking for. The house I recently remodeled had a Sonos system that I had set up for several years. I have 12 speakers (6 zones) and searched for a solution that didn't require each zone to be powered by a separate amplifier or have to buy a new control system. To my Sonos Connect system, I've connected three devices currently. Three are connected to the busses, one is connected to bus 1, one is connected to bus 2 and the remaining is attached to There are three zones set to BUS2, and there are four zones set to BUS1, as these zones will always want the same thing to be playing. There is a separate Sonos connect for Zone 5. I love the auto-on/auto-off feature. I have to manually adjust the volume up or down in order to activate the on/off switch occasionally. My guess is that the amp needs to detect the signal because my knowledge of electronic circuits is limited. The issue is not at all an issue. The Power Station is highly recommendable for anyone looking for a convenient way to power several areas.

I am happy with the results
4/5

Make sure you pay attention to the On the back of the unit were little volume controls that were all set to minimal or off at factory installation. Despite spending 2 hours debugging and then tearing apart my entire system, I eventually concluded that this unit did not There was only one input and speaker right next to it, so I removed both and got no sound. My surprise was that the tiny volume controls finally worked once I started playing with them. In fact, it was pretty straightforward to set up and I didn't have any issues. It would have been nice if the controls had been set to a minimal value or at least had "off" noted in the instructions or Using this method would have saved me a great deal of time, frustration, and wires spread all over the place. Despite my criticism of the sound quality and volume of the unit, I am satisfied.

This is a fantastic amplifier for distributed systems
5/5

I moved into my home with a system that drove 14 speakers in 5 zones thanks to an Onkyo multimedia system. Before the previous owner, walls were used to enclose the property There is an impedance matching volume controller for each zone and a switcher for impedance matching speakers. I used it for 5 years. After that, the amplifier This 12 channel amp (6 stereo) was the ideal solution for me as I wanted each zone to have it's own amp. There is a LOT of flexibility in this! On each channel, it offers a dedicated channel input that can be selected and twice as many mono stereo unbalanced busses. On each stereo channel, there is a left and right trim option. The stereo channels can be bridged together. There are three nice surprises in store for you 1

It is simple to manage the speaker connectors before installing the amplifier since they are unplugged. They can also be moved from one channel to another so that troubleshooting can be performed. The second one. The device is equipped with an auto-detection feature This feature prevents the computer from shutting down. A while later, the unused channel(s) are automatically shut down. 1.
2.
3. It has two outputs, one for each bus. The output on mine was used to amplify the bass. Besides the trigger ins and outs, there are also trigger in and outs. I simply plugged an echo dot into bus 1, ran the trims at 12 and then plugged in the filter. They came off at 00 (they come off), I left each channel in stereo mode, switched to bus one, and I was ready to go!.

In the event I turned out to be wrong, I am pleased to report
5/5

There was a slight concern that I was making too great a compromise. In the event I turned out to be wrong, I am pleased to report. I was impressed with how well it was packaged, sent promptly and worked out to be a good purchase. This is the second unit I've purchased, and I'm glad I did. speakers in two large homes, with 8 ohm speakers on each channel (4 ohm load per speaker). There were no issues.
The intent of the music was to provide nice background music, perhaps even party music, but at such a volume that one could also speak. I found that they worked perfectly. Just adjust the volume setting to the maximum you would ever want the volume to be (and make sure all sources of music are at max volume as well), and any lower volume is what you will normally hear. I discovered that in both homes there was a normal amount of noise in the living room Volume controls on my wall did not fit my gang boxes, so I installed a switch instead that lets me choose between turning on or off the music the volume is preset before the switch is switched on I was able to adjust the sound even remotely as the airport express handled the music, and with the phone in my hand, I was able to control the volume and selection.
