Questions & Answers

My protection plan does not appear to be available. Why is that?

This product is covered by a five-year warranty

Is there an amplification channel for every channel? Is it a channel or a watt? There probably needs to be a statement somewhere about this?

There are 9 amplified channels and each channel has a rated power of 200W (probably rated for two channels). I give it an 11 out of 10. Despite the fact that it's a 2 channel processor, an external amplifier must be used.

In the case of speaker height outputs, can they be used as elevation height fronts, which I am able to do (or should they be elevation height rears, which I am unable to ?

Regarding your question, thank you. A detailed description of the configuration required for front and rear height speakers can be found in the Marantz SR7013 owners manual. You will need to use an additional 2 channel amplifier (see page 62 for details). World Wide Stereo, which celebrates its 41st year as an authorized Marantz dealer, has been around for 41 years.

Generally, I would like to know What is the average number of dac chips embedded in AV receivers? Do they need the dac component if so, will it make any difference adding it separately?

Regarding your question, thank you. To connect a digital source (such as a DAC) to a digital input, use either a coaxial or optical In the Marantz owner's manual, the manual describes how that input should be "assigned" to one of the aux inputs. AV receivers have built-in DACs that enable them to process audio from digital video inputs, such as It is the only authorized Marantz dealer in the world who is 40 years old.

The following warning has been issued Sadly, Marantz does not provide any support after the warranty period of their high-end technology Products that end up in the end
3/5

In the first place, I do not own a Marantz SR7013. My experience with Marantz AV receivers includes the previous versions, the 8001 and 8002, each of which retailed for $2,000 and is similar in price and features to the 7013. I was an avid Marantz enthusiast when I was a kid but yet I feel the need to warn anyone here who may end up with a $2,199 brick after the warranty has expired. In marantz reviews, their products are usually praised for their sound quality, but are also very prone to malfunction. As a matter of fact, I know the address of the main regional service center by heart and not by choice. I have a whole page of tickets on Marantz's website, and that does not If this 3-person kit is all you intend to use, then only use it once Buy the receiver, and don't read this review. If you plan to use it for at least 5 years, then buy the receiver now. Marantz's business model seems to be that people want to get the most use out of their AV receivers as they are difficult to set up and calibrate, aside from being expensive. AV receivers are not like phones in the sense that you can swap them out every few years. As my unit is old, I can't do much with it Amazon sold it to me more than nine years ago. In spite of calling United Radio (I'm sure most of you know they are the main services center in the East Coast), they refused to even take the unit in for repair as they won't fix these top of the line products. This is the After 7- there are no line units anymore I have been doing this for a decade. Consequently, I now have a brick worth $2,000 for my receiver. This can happen at any time after the warranty has expired, which is even more concerning. Please take a look at the comments copied from a communication I had with Marantz customer support "[Marantz Customer Support]"
"Marantz does not own any service centers" Each of them is an independent contractor. maintain its own inventory of parts. That's something we outsource to a separate company. Encompass is the company responsible for the repair and if they don't have the parts for the repair then they don't repair the unit. There is no such thing as an unfixable problem. In this case, the cost of repairing the unit would be greater than the cost of buying a new unit due to the need to fabricate parts that are not readily available. This means that it should not be repaired. In addition to any warranty that the manufacturer provides, Marantz does not have any other obligation to any of its units. Please remember that we still provide email and telephone support as a courtesy to our customers. In an old unit there is less chance of parts being available, so they don't want you to waste your time shipping it to them. They do not refuse the unit, it is just that they know they won't accept the unit when it is old. A couple of things to note here. [End of Marantz email]

Put simply, we have received an email from Marantz. There are a few reasons why Marantz doesn't make the parts for its A different company is in charge of making Neither Marantz nor the parts manufacturers have any contractual obligation to supply parts for a certain period of time to support their products, including their reference models. It's up to that company to do what it wants with you. Marantz makes it quite clear to its customers - and to their own eyes - that the Authorized Service Centers they direct them to are completely independent of Marantz and do not have any obligation to repair items for them. What I experienced is exactly what happened to me - not even the regional service center would take my unit in to be repaired No matter what the problem was, or even if it simply needed a hard reset, there was no need to replace I have not had any problems with my receivers, and, as they say, nothing is irreparable. The third point is that Marantz makes it clear that it has no obligations to any of its customers after their warranty period has ended. For example, unlike car or watch makers who are willing to service your unit if you pay them a fee, Marantz's interpretation is that they are not obligated to even provide a means or the facility to service the equipment. You are on your own after the warranty has expired - it is Saab time after that and the factory has closed for the day. These are disconcerting results for what are considered by many audiophiles to be high-end receivers - it may be fine if we're talking about a $500 unit, but this would not be the case here. It will be impossible to use this receiver if there are no parts, and I will end up with 3 of the most expensive bricks I have ever bought. In order not to leave you in the same plight as me, I'm sharing my story with My husband and I love the sound of the receiver, but it should be my choice whether to have it repaired or not, not Marantz's. I know some of you will think I got plenty of life from my receiver, and we did and I do love the sound of it. The issue I had was that I had a spare 8001 lying around and was able to use it instead of having to spend another $2,200 to replace the same model. But I know some of you will not be in that position, so please be careful to avoid doing the same. It's not worth the price to deal with the broken receiver, so let me tell you I've already paid a large price to deal with it. There was only one repair service that took my receiver, charged me, and did not fix it. Marantz's response is not what you want to hear.

The BASS is nowhere to be found
4/5

I am very pleased with the sound quality for music. Currently running the current version of the operating system. There are 4 outlaw amps, one with 5 channels and the other with 7. The speakers are all Klipsch, and the subwoofers are 12 inches. This is not a system for those who enjoy aggressive BASS. The bass can blend in well with music, but when I'm watching movies, I enjoy the heart pounding, furniture shakin' quality of the bass, and the Marantz doesn't With a $500 Pioneer receiver, I can hear how much bass compression is happening in the room as John wick 2 cave shoot out is playing. When a shot is fired, you can feel the impact. While playing the same scene on a marantz sr7013, the sound does not match. My only disappointment with this receiver is that it can't receive C-band signals. In the hopes of helping the next buyer, I have provided this information.

My Sony ES is a huge improvement over my current one
5/5

I like this unit very much. It took me a little longer to set it up than I had originally envisioned. Currently, I am running a 7 based system. The speakers were wired incorrectly in the first setup, and it took several attempts to do it correctly. Both fronts of my jacket are bi-fold However, we finally figured it out after getting a little adrift and having no real instructions on how to do it. It sounds hollow to watch a football game with the calibrated setting, so you need to change it for sports programs. With just standard blue ray, I get good sound quality and great picture quality. I use an Oppo 93 blue ray receiver with an older Sony 55" LCD TV - the Oppo has always improved the picture on the TV, and with this receiver, it still will. In the near future, it will be great to upgrade the TV and to a 4K player.

The radio was awesome even though it wasn't working properly for us
4/5

The receiver was returned the same day for no apparent reason, so we were forced to return it. We tried to replace it with another receiver but there were none available, so we were left with no other option, but to return it. I unboxed the receiver and set it up correctly (I have had 30+ years of experience with different kinds of electronic devices, 22 of which were professional). A loud sound can be heard when the left rear connector for the surround sound is blown, as if a small nest of bees is trying to escape. Furthermore, the sound was very dim throughout the receiver. All of our attempts were unsuccessful A brand new speaker wire and hdmi cables*a new pair of surround sound speakers in the rear I swapped the rear channel on the left with the rear channel on the right and the only channel that works is the right channel We checked many times whether connections were inserted correctly (all were)
I connected some speakers with a shorter cable to the receiver (to see if the length of the cables were causing the problem) but left rear is still not working Despite trying over and over to get the loud beeps from the receiving device to fill the living room with sound, we were unable to get it done since the left rear speaker was not loud enough (due to the blown connector) and we finally gave up after several hours.

You can find it on Marantz
4/5

The Marantz is a great brand with great products like this one. In order to replace the Denon AVR 4520ci, this receiver was purchased. The Denon AVR 4520ci had been relegated to the bedroom and had been a standout receiver. I have returned other receivers because they didn't sound as good as the Denon AVR 4520ci. The Marantz receiver sounded almost as good, but it had a number of features that the Denon AVR 4520ci did not. The most important feature of any unit I was considering was that it had to be easy for my wife to use, as she had grown accustomed to our Marantz AV8805 In almost every respect, this AVR 7313 operated the same way. of these Marantz systems had one drawback that I did not like, and that was their HEOS system. don't think I can say enough bad things about this terrible feature in HEOS it restricts Pandora and Spotify functionality. If you want to use it effectively, you'll need to use your phone or tablet. I was very happy with Marantz's AVR 7313 receiver aside from that. The book would have gotten five stars if it hadn't been for that.

The HDMI port is not working
4/5

This is a good unit for a reasonable price. A few notes Please expect Ray, etc) to appear when it's time. There is no need to use other cables than high-speed HDMI. As soon as I changed every cable, it was.
