Swann Home Security PoE Camera System, 4K 8 Spotlight Cameras 8 Channel Wired Surveillance CCTV NVR, Color Night Vision, 2-Way Audio, with 2TB Hard Drive, SWNVK-885808FB-US

An installation of this security system was purchased for I liked the packaging, and I was pleased to see that all components were included. There seem to be a lot of different 4K cameras and all of them seem to be very well designed and solidly built. All cameras come with mounting screws and drywall Each camera had its own plastic weather tight cable shell assembly, which slipped over the network cable connecting it to the PoE network cable pigtail coming out of the camera and did a good job of If a camera is installed in such a way that the cable is exposed on the wall surface instead of being fed through the wall and concealed, I assume that it is used. The only problem I had was that these cable shells appeared nowhere in the instructions or installation materials (they are also not listed in Swan's parts list on the product page). It was difficult to reach their Tech Support team because the rep had no idea what they were for and had to e-mail me If you have a photo of the shells, send it to him. After seeing them he confirmed the purpose (which I had already given a guess) but he was unable to explain how to put together the cable shell pieces and how to fit the assembled assembly over the PoE cable, leaving me to figure it out There was a minor issue, as the cable shell is not an essential part for the system to perform, but due to the omission on the documentation and the lack of product knowledge displayed by their techs, I deducted one star from it. It is also easy to set up and well built in the NVR unit In my opinion, this is a quality product. I may be able to provide an update on more features once the system has been in use for a number of months. But I am so far pleased with it.

Swann has been one of my favorite bands for a long time. The cameras were intended to replace 21 each of NHD 850 5MP cameras. The NVR 8000 would be replaced by this setup. 16 cameras are the maximum number of cameras that this system can handle. The images are created using 4K Ultra HD cameras and the resolution is 3MP. Although the software was almost correct, it was not able to recognise people's faces and identify line crossings. It also has a 75% loss in night vision compared to my old cameras with 5mp. According to the so-called True Detect technology, the system always picked up leaves blowing through the yard but didn't record when actual people came into the house. Due to the pointless nature of the technology, I ran all cameras all the time. I wish you the best of luck with the A video was not recorded to be played back and I needed to review it in an emergency. Although the camera had indicated it had recorded, it was not possible to play the footage back. The system worked well enough for me after a week of using it. Once the system was useless, I packed it up and returned it. After this, I reinstalled my old system that is three years old, and I have been satisfied Swann is not a company I'll be spending money on After making sure the system could be returned before I purchased it, I was thankful that I had done that.

It's awesome that these cameras exist. Like the rest of the products in this line, the mobile app only has one problem. Using it is a pain. It's the second system I've purchased. When I had the previous version, I was pleased with the quality, but an individual camera failed, and it was impossible to find a replacement. My son got the new system and I gave the old one to him. Here is a photo with an interesting angle. It would be possible to cover the whole property with only 6 cameras, and the night vision is so good that if one camera were to be pointed down, it would always stay in color. The light that it emits almost washes out my yard when viewed up close.

Although it does not come with a manual, the quality of the product is quite good. Originally I encountered some issues due to the lack of a A pdf of the booklet was emailed to me by the company after I contacted them. Swann's products have always been good to me. I had one before. The only thing I have done is buy a 6 TB hard drive in order to record throughout the day rather than just record when motion is detected. I have not had a chance to explore the features.

My order for these cameras is from April of 2020 and already four out of eight aren't It is impossible for me to make out any images for three of them due to water, and one of the others simply does not work. An outdoor security system is of no use if it can only be accessed by outsiders.

There is no movement and all the night vision ir lights are so bright that they create hot spots on the images, making them hard to It requires too many data for a 4K monitor to run on a 2 Tera hard drive, and the dvr does not support drives larger than This system seems like a waste of money. As a business, we knew we suffered from theft and already had a camera system installed, but we were never able to get results through After six months, the camera system has already cost us less than we paid for We are able to get clear pictures and audio that make apprehension much easier, not to mention that theft was much more prevalent than we were aware of.
