The first few days have been great! Since I do handyman work on the side, I've installed several POE systems for other homeowners
5/5

I wanted something for my home and thought I'd try Amcrest. I have tested Lorex, Ring, and other brands as well. There is a separate app for each system and a separate interface for each smartphone app. The difficulty of some is greater than the difficulty of As I installed this myself, I am the owner. The total number of cameras is four. Compared to some other systems, this one came with 60 feet of Cat 6 cable (as shown in the first pic). Because two cameras from the back of the house barely reached the entrance 1" hole for the wires, I was lucky to have an extra reel of Cat6 cable. I also had the ability to make my own cables because I had 1000ft of extra Cat6 cable. In order to continue wiring to the NVR system box, I had to buy a junction You can see from the images I wired four of the cables into a 1/2 PVC pipe going from where the ceiling meets the walls and going down to where the NVR is mounted.
For any system to be fully understood, it takes time to learn how it functions. am quite happy with the platform. It was so much easier to set up the p2p/firewall and ports from the routers when compared to other NVR systems I have used. (As a side Due to Comcast's "cloud" mode of working, it was a bit confusing to gain access to the port forwarding at first. I finally got the port forwarding to work after a few attempts and the app to work when using the phone outside of the house. We are very pleased with the quality! Because of each system's limitations, it couldn't handle four 4k cameras at the same time, so it would mask out one camera One camera and one other. There was a buyer who mentioned this issue in another review. As I said, this is typical of all systems. that you would have to buy a $1000 system with more processing power if you wanted to run all cameras in 4K. A higher resolution would slow down a system of any brand, so lowering the resolutions is recommended. As a result, in my case, I set up three cameras at 5m (1080p) and just my driveway at 8m (4K). Additionally, I was able to change the photo frame rate from 15 to 25 frames per second on all 3 cameras. A camera with the most traffic was therefore able to capture more data in more details without bogging down Besides the LED night vision, this camcorder is exceptionally good. I don't have a LED light, but I have a LED working through IR. (see photos) Don't be confused, this isn't a LED. All of the cameras had microphones built into them. In reality, I won't rate it as good or bad since the audio playback in the app isn't all that great. However, the system itself does pick up pretty well if you can get it straight off of the drive. When someone is walking to the mailbox across the street, you can hear them from about 50 feet away. Although I could say a lot more, I am very satisfied with this system in comparison to other brands I have installed or used. When people walked up and the "Ring Doorbell/stickCam" didn't capture their faces or only captured people going away, I was so sick of it. You may never be able to work. It was also difficult for me to read the infrared. Nevertheless, I have become a fan of Amcrest. Note that on playback I noticed that my iphone worked really well without being jittery or slow or the scrubbing was fine. At first I thought it had to do with my frame rate on the NVR system itself, but later found out that was not This is related to the app on the device in which it is installed. You shouldn't direct your ire at the system itself for its poor performance. Whether you are viewing it on a HDMI TV or an iphone 6 plus, it works just fine. In addition, I was also able to access the NVR from my desktop computer by typing in the IP address, which enabled me to access all cameras on my home network as well as control its settings from my computer. It's a sure thing for me. We recommend this system when combined with the turret camera. Easily installed and features a low profile. Also, I read that I can get the doorbell connected to my Amcrest system so I can view it on my NVR while I am home, which I think It might be a good idea to add that and review it. However, right now you have enough to spend! In addition, it's a pleasure to have the option to create others. You can either be a viewer or a member of the admin team. Thus, that is a nice feature too, since it allows users to login without affecting the main login process. Here is an information for those looking for a system with a built-in 2TB drive that are in need of a 4k camera. Amazon has the best price, and I recommend it! There are some other sites that go a little further and that's without hard drives. So Amazon certainly is an option. The competition is on the rise. Getting it for $559 was a great deal. I paid $611 out the door after adding tax for the item costing $99 plus tax. This will be updated once I can update the battery life of my system's camera. Among the 4k bullets cams installed at the last client Lorex, one already failed, and the job isn't even six months old. A system like that costs about $900. In the end, the client did not wish to deal with warranty and wait time therefore, he spent additional $140 on a.

I'm satisfied with the overall result
5/5

Amcrest Wifi camera that I had been using as a baby monitor for over two years is exactly what I was looking for when I bought this one. We couldn't be happier with our new DVR system, so we decided to try it out. Due to the complexity of installing the others, I have only installed two of cameras, but I am extremely happy with the quality and performance of those two cameras so far. Especially for those who have never used a DVR system before, it would be more useful if it was more updated and user-friendly. Nevertheless, I got better at it after weeks of playing with it and adjusting the motion detection settings. Due to a lack of rain gutters on the roof, the rain coming off the roof always prematurely triggered the motion notifications. Consequently, I wasn't able to get the motion detection to work 100% as I hoped because it was triggered by rain. I had a hard time re-entering my email address As soon as I changed my internet setup, I was having a problem synchronizing the wifi cameras to the DVR. Amcrest Tech Support was awesome and promptly solved my problem. The system overall is still recommended and there are plans to add more cameras in the future.

I think that this system is worth the money
5/5

I found this camera system to be the most useful if I was willing to spend a little more for a much higher quality product. Although the online instructions make it far easier to set up than the manual that comes with it, the manual is not as helpful. Getting started involves connecting a wired connection to your router, then setting up an HDMI monitor with your NVR. Once the NVR is setup, you can switch over to a device that has a WPS button to pair it with your wireless router after it is set up. It is easy to install the cameras since they use just one wire. Housings for the digital cameras are of high quality as they can be adjusted a bit. In addition to running your cable outside your camera, you can also run it through the center of the mounting bracket and into a My driveway ends at the end of a 100-foot motorway, but I still see nighttime action there thanks to the video quality and night vision. As you would expect from a system of this quality, the NVR features all the features of a mid to high-range It has a good mobile app and you can get into live view from anywhere on the planet. The internet connection I do have is 600 Mbps, so I am not sure whether that might play a role in my connectivity speed. You might want to take note of the fan noise that comes with the NVR when considering its placement. They do keep the unit cool, but are a bit noisy.

The night vision could be better, but the overall system is good
3/5

Although night vision could be improved, this system can provide excellent overall clarity in the daytime, especially during midday. The night vision does not reach the advertised distance at night instead, it is closer to 30 to 40 feet. With this system, you might have to add an IR illumination in order to obtain a longer illumination time. You should not expect a clear, sharp image when you zoom in since it is a digital zoom As a result, it becomes.

This is a deal that's worth every penny! You're better than all the rest! It is amazing how good these cameras are
5/5

It almost happened that we would have bought another brand, but we ended up buying this one. I love how easy it is to install and how well it works. So far, you have not let us down! Compared to a service provider that previously visited our house, the picture quality is better here. It's also really cool that you can use the app. It's really easy to navigate once you get the hang of it. Considering it is too sensitive if there is anything around like a flag or trees, I gave the motion detection a 3 star rating. The motion detection wouldn't work for me when I tried lowering the sensitivity and setting a grid in the right place to detect motion. A system like this is not worth overlooking, Glad to hear that!.

With Jaden, you can get tech support
5/5

I could not have completed this without his support patient, knowledgeable, very fast, also able to get the cameras to detect movement in certain times of day. Looking forward to buying more cameras since this was so easy and they have very good coverage, so far so good, thank you Amcrest.
