My Amcrest Wifi camera had been a baby monitor for over two years, and I had thoroughly enjoyed it. Before buying this, I owned an Amcrest Wifi camera. We decided to test this DVR system simply because it seemed like a good idea. As a result of the complexity of installing the others, I have only installed two cameras to date. But so far, I am happy with the performance of the two cameras I installed so far. Especially for someone who has never used such a system before, the DVR system could be more user-friendly and updated. After adjusting the motion detection settings for the camera and such, I became more comfortable with it after experimenting for weeks. We don't have rain gutters so rain coming off the roof would always trigger the motion detection too soon. The overall clarity of this system is excellent during the day, but the night vision could be improved. At night, it is not able to reach the advertised distance. Instead, night vision clarity is less than 30 to 40 feet. It may be necessary to add an IR illuminator to this system if you want a longer illumination during the night. I am amazed by these cameras. Our eyes almost fell on another brand, but we settled for I really like this product for its ease of installation and performance. We have never been let down by you! We are more pleased with the picture quality here than with the previous company that served our house. As for the app, it is also really cool. Once you get the hang of it, you will find it very easy to use. Despite the 3 stars, I had to lower it since the motion detection was too sensitive when there were flags and trees nearby. Despite decreasing the sensitivity and setting the grid for where you would like motion to be detected, I was unable to set it up. It isn't worth skipping over this system, for sure.
