I don't own a Samsung Note 9, but I've had Samsung Galaxy 5 to 8 phones, all of which run Android. My current phone is a Samsung Galaxy S8, which comes with a USB port. This reader is excellent with the C connection. It's similar to a plug-and-play system. It should work with your Note 9 because it has a USB port as well. The connection is in the letter C.
Good ok
This does not make me happy. It was supposed to work on a game camera, but it didn't. I received a free copy of an updated version from the seller. It hasn't worked yet. This is how I've found it to work.
This is the slot into which you insert the card to download or view your photos on your phone, computer, or other device. You can't see them on this device; you'll need a connection to do so.

It works fine with phones that aren't in a case, but it won't connect with an OtterBox (which I was told would work). When trying to connect to an iPad or tablet, the connection tip clear covers appear to get in the way. Then you have to download their app in order to transfer photos, which is incredibly slow. It's not a quick and easy process; it takes time, and there are better products out there that don't take as much time; they seemed to sell it on its simplicity; if you have a blank card with 10 photos, yes. NO! As a photographer with hundreds of images on 32GB cards, NO! If you aren't interested in photography, a small print of photos will suffice.
It's just not worth it. I'm looking forward to trying this out when I go to check out some game cameras. It would read my SD cards on occasion, but not always. It would play the videos on occasion and not on others. To get it to work, I had to restart the app and insert and remove the SD card several times. I returned it because I need something that always works; otherwise, I'd just bring the SD cards home and check them on my computer, which is precisely what I was trying to avoid. br>br>Update 7/2020br>The seller sent me a new card reader. I didn't ask for it, but I appreciate the kindness. The iPhone app does not recognize the new reader, which is unfortunate. Since I really want to use it, I've tried several times and in various ways to make it work. Oh well, it'll end up in the garbage once more.
To use this product, you had to first download an app. My game camera's SD card will not be read by this app. When I first installed the app, I discovered that its sole purpose is to collect personal data. It requested access to my photos, camera, microphone, contact list, and so on. br>The app only reads what is saved on the phone. It's completely useless and intrudes on personal space.
Nothing happens when it says "connecting. " I've read good reviews, so I'm not sure what to think. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> After several attempts to disconnect, the app finally connects, but no photos are detected. They're there, I'm sure of it.
It's not very good. It's not particularly simple to use, though it might be if instructions were included. br>I'll keep it because it was cheap and might come in handy once in a while. br>If the price had been higher, it would have been returned right away.
I bought it to keep raccoons from raiding my feeders at night. It will work for one night and then stop working. I moved the unit about 10 feet away from the feeders, but there was still no evidence of the nightly raid. When I called customer service, I was greeted by Jack Wu, who inquired about the status of the unit. Yes, Jack, it's still not working, and the raccoons are about 30 lbs. I'd recommend buying a different one if you're trying to catch something the size of raccoons; this one isn't designed for small critters. I'll put it to the test by walking into the area late at night, and it works, so if your target is 6'4" and 220 pounds, you're in good shape.
This thing has saved me so many times, especially since I'm a photographer who needs to be editing photos right away and on the go. I'm able to go ahead and edit photos from my phone once the photo shoot is over to speed up the process for the customers, and I love how quickly it uploads to my phone.
Because I have an Otterbox case, using the plug is difficult. Next, I'll get the wired unit, which still works but is a little inconvenient. It fits easily into my backpack and takes up little room.
