Extra- In standby mode, the battery can last for up to 30 months.
If you want to photograph birds up close, I recommend using a sport camera. I'm actually obsessed with photographing birds up close and personal, and I do so with sport cameras. I bought three cameras, each of which came with a special birdhouse box to hold the camera in. Bird Photo Booth 2 is the name of the game. 0 (google it), and I'm considering adding a Gitup2 sport camera to my collection of cameras today! It appeals to me. I wish I had the ability to share some of the photos I've taken.
If you select "yes" for image recycling, the last photos on your SD card will be removed when the card is full. It is still capable of capturing images. However, if your most recent photographs are extremely important to you, you should avoid selecting "yes."

Amazon refused to replace the item and referred me to the manufacturer instead. The manufacturer stated that they would replace the item. The manufacturer has not responded to emails or sent a replacement after four weeks. BUYING IS A MISTAKE. Despite the fact that they stated that they would replace - That is not the case.
Updated on June 14, 2020br>br>On or around May 1, 2020, one of my Oudmon OM570 cameras failed (would not turn on), and shortly after, a second camera failed with the same issue (would not turn on). I informed Oudmon of my issue, but have gotten nothing but the runaround so far. They tell me to return the camera to their warehouse, but they refuse to provide me with an address to send it to. Be aware that once you buy a camera from Oudmon, you "own it as is," with no warranty. If you want your trail camera to last longer than six months, spend a little more money and get one made in the United States. br>br>Original Post. br>I received this camera on 11/9/19 and installed it at one of my feeders that same day; it takes excellent daytime photographs and acceptable nighttime photographs. One feature of the camera that I really like is the ability to program the camera to take pictures at a specific time. I only want nighttime photos because there are many domestic animals that frequent the area during the day. This is the best camera for the money I've found, and I ordered six more in December. 5, 2019.
Replace the 8 AA alkaline batteries with brand new ones, and the SD card with a brand new one. Nothing happens when you turn the switch to the setup position; neither camera works. The batteries were checked and found to be in excellent condition. br>Notice that the battery terminal is not connected to the camera body by a wire. It's possible that a different method is employed. I have a variety of trail cameras and have never had a problem with any of them. This isn't the first time I've had to deal with a situation like this. I'd appreciate any assistance. br>Recent changes: This is a problem I'm working on with Oudman. They've been extremely accommodating in their efforts to assist me. I think this is excellent customer service, and I'll update my review as soon as it's resolved.
This is the only trail cam I'm aware of that will accept a 256 GB SD card and has a fast trigger speed. A couple of things I noticed: the temperature displayed on the image is incorrect. Another thing I don't like is that you have to put the SD card in upside down, with the metal contacts facing you, and the ridge on the card that you can remove with your fingernail is facing down, making it difficult to grab the card and remove it. I tried ejecting it quickly, but it only came out a short distance. Aside from that, it's a good trail camera for the money, and I've tried a few.
I bought two of these for blacktail and elk hunting in Washington state, and they were not worth the money. I unboxed and set up the first one with eight "quality batteries," and it seemed to work fine, though it would occasionally shut off, which I attributed to me accidentally turning off the switch. There are three settings on the sliding switch: On, setup, and off are the three options, and if you're not careful, it can easily slide from on to setup to off. br>br>Because I live on two acres with a lot of coyotes, raccoons, and deer, I decided to test it out in the yard on a well-used trail. It only took pictures of me putting it together, and that was the end of it. It shut down after a short period of time after being set up. I know this because shortly after I set up the camera, my kids made funny faces at it, and the next day, there were no images of them on the SIM card. br>br>I took the second camera out of the box and inserted the eight "quality batteries," but it wouldn't turn on. br>br>Oudmon, you can do better! When you have to drive two hours one way or more to your hunting and scouting location, you need a camera you can rely on. It would have been a huge waste of time if I had set these up in the woods out of the box, left them, and then returned a few days later to find no images.
Pros:
- The camouflage is fantastic and blends in seamlessly.
- The controls on the interface are extremely simple, making it simple to navigate around and view your photos and videos directly on the device. br>- The definition on the screen is incredible! The colors and contrasts pop right off the screen.
- Last but not least, adjusting the settings to your liking is a breeze. There isn't a Japanese version of the manual available. Because the manual is written in English, you can actually read it and understand it before setting up the trailcam the way you want it. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- It requires eight AA batteries.
- It doesn't have the widest angle camera I've ever seen, so the view is a little restricted.
So far, the camera has performed admirably, and the issue I initially mistook for a flaw was actually a user error. I was disappointed to find the video was very choppy when I brought the SD card in after the first couple of nights. I quickly discovered that watching videos from the SD card was the source of the issue. I copied the files from the SD card, and the videos now play flawlessly at all times of day and night, with crisp, clear images. br>br>I like that the camera can be password protected and that there is a small lockable compartment on the side, which is a nice feature. In addition to using the supplied belt, I added some rings to the slots where the adjustable strap goes to secure the cam with a chain and a lock to prevent theft. br>br>As for battery life, I haven't had it long enough to judge, but I believe it is affected by the amount of activity in the area and the number of times the camera is triggered. br>br>I wanted a trail camera to see what kind of animals roamed the area late at night. Inadvertently, I captured a suspicious individual in my yard, and she is easily identifiable. br>br>When I contacted Oudmon, he responded quickly, which I greatly appreciate. Oudmon is a great company, and I had a great experience working with them.
