Impressive. I have both a Sony and Panasonic that can match this quality. It has the same quality, if not more, than this no name. A good tone control system and excellent reception are provided. It was possible to hear a lot of stations in the daytime. Despite being very selective, the test was very accurate. The winner is definitely this one.
It had very poor reception for its size. I found this radio online after much research, and it was highly rated. Upon receiving the first one, it was deemed unusable, so I requested a replacement and returned the first one. Two days later I received it, much to my surprise. The first one had no sound, but this one had The second radio performs quite well in FM reception when the antennae are fully extended after searching both AM and FM bands. Unfortunately, the AM band proved to be quite disappointing, as it was no better than much smaller, compact radios that I already own. My main reason for purchasing this unit was for the AM band. Often, I want to listen to talk radio, and this isn't much better than listening to a compact radio Using the radio requires four standard D cell batteries, which can add quite a bit of weight to it. There are advantages and disadvantages to each size, so I suppose there is some data to be picked up from this, however I would have preferred 4 AA size, to reduce weight and size. An AC power cord is included, to save on battery use. One great feature of radio is the tone control, which is very useful when listening on the AM band due to the reduced level of static. In terms of overall quality, the radio is okay, but the Panasonic RF-AM series provides better value In addition to the 2400D, I purchased it on Amazon as well.
Here in Alabama, I am on the Panhandle, south of Mobile. It was a pleasure to listen to the channels because of their clarity and sound quality. My receiving is excellent and I can use D batteries or an electric plug. After the streaming channels kept cutting out and I was forced to talk with the system, I was tired. A transistor radio is the best invention of all time. It is simply a matter of turning the knob and going. By the time I got to San Antonio, Texas, I heard the Joe Pax show on AM 1200 at 6 pm at night, 663 miles west of me, wow! Ideally, locals from within a 60-mile radius will be able to get to the rink easily. I was pleased with my purchase and found the price to be reasonable.
I could hear only two stations, and they were not the ones that I was interested in listening to. There are so many stations on this radio that I really enjoy listening to. This has been a pleasant surprise! The price is fair for the quality of the product.
I would make only one improvement to this product turning it on very gently is difficult when I first turn it on. My music kind of skips to LOUD and I have to make it quieter right away (but I can see how to do it). It's good to have control of the tone and volume I use this to hear the news for a few moments when I am in the shower/makes it less tinny/less bass-like. Ha ha, there are big knobs on those for stupid old big kids like me. I absolutely love the sound Let's all sing! The handle and antenna are great! I am glad I purchased it. We have won!.
"I was so happy for him!" he exclaimed! Its large buttons and great reception, as well as the fact that it can be used with batteries or an AC adapter. The price was well worth it!.
Several of my attempts at using SDR radios have been disappointing, especially with weak I find this radio to be of high quality, a little overstuffed but overall an interesting It has excellent reception, and the quality of the tone is excellent. I like the fact that the controls feel solid and that they are easy to adjust I am very happy with the results. Although it seems to have a good battery life, I would like it if there was an external power supply.
It's old-school (non-digital) and I can adjust the reception myself, so I like it. A nice feature of the phone is the tone button. I just love the look of the radio,.
